It's the most cheapest way of Micro upgrading. If you used Micro upgrades on previous Modifcations of the weapon, you'll have a discount on the next one. Although that's not as cheap as ignoring the MU's until your equipment is at M3... discounts can only add up to 70%; and you need to upgrade every parameter, to achieve that number. Not to mention that you'll lose your Micro upgrade process. Sure you have slightly weaker weapons; though when achieved an M3, you've more crystals to spend. And Micro upgrades will definitely not give the upper hand to the enemy, when you play without MU'd equipment, and have the proper skill in using the tank.

Ahh yes, so sorry. I suppose Thunder is not made for making enemies miss, as you'll be playing in maps with walls. Direct contact with the enemy isn't as important as Smoky. Smoky needs this impact, as it will need to hit the enemy every single shot. Thunder can cause damage with walls aswell.

I use Smoky in medium maps with open ground; that's where it performs at it's best. Pretty stupid to use Smoky in small or large maps. (especially with a lot of obstacles) Aiming is not that accurate, and critical chance is NOT that much. Sure it has peeks... but on average it's just enough to make it bad at small maps, and good at open medium maps; in other words, balanced. You need to hit your enemy directly, every single shot if you want to deal maximum damage. Thus if you're being attacked by a Freeze... you're pretty much doomed. Why aiming is so hard, is because it fires fast with recoil. Small shots with low damage, will cause you to expose yourself more than Thunder or Railgun. If you don't fire Smoky as fast as it can... you're already using it in the wrong way. Peek a boo tactics with Smoky is the worst thing to do. You need 'chances' as much chances as possible, in the smallest amount of time. Pure because of the critical hit.

Yeah, until I'll be able to get it M3 and max out that HP.

What I do is use Sony Vegas to add sound in the videos,but movie maker can do this aswell. I've Bandicam as screen recorder, which records sound from your computer, I've you've set the volume to stereo mix; in audio options. All you have to do is to add music, the battle sounds are from the video itself. Render it, and you'll have music, both battle sound in your videos. Unedited with those two audio types, is how I like videos, but this is just my opinion.

Self destruct from those two weapons has a downside aswell. You're doomed once an Isida is sticked to you, when you're using Thunder. And you're limited in your gameplay because of that very same self destruct effect. Let it have this feature, it makes up for the downsides. ^_^
