If you do it fast enough you can enter the garage before the respawn and you'll be able to change equipment so you won't gain 1 death. But this is just masking the flaw of matchmaking that you just pointed out. There is no feature to choose maps and there's no (real) feature to change your equipment. I bet being able to change before the first respawn was an unintentional side effect of equipment changing in the first place.

I think there indeed is no reason to make any sacrefice if there would be a proximity correction for the single rockets. We still have protection modules and there are basically none on the battlefield right now. Striker with the eased up controls would make it more popular and a side effect will definitely be more protection modules. I haven't really thought about this when I mentioned the compensation. Thank you for clarifying.. that makes some sense I guess. It was only an image but I quoted a post from the extreme rage which made me somewhat part of it.

Who cares? Well a big part of the community that is. Clearly there has to be a cause. Not that I mind though.. Playing with Magnum is an enjoyable experience. I hope they will never nerf it. Heck they should increase the damage with the sacrefice of a little splash radius to give the more skilled players an edge in this simple game full of short range fights. But you can't get around the countless players saying the exact same thing.. Thunder is ridiculously powerful and equipping Thunder protection is almost a no-brainer. And Magnum is being used as a short range weapon lol. I ram up in people's face all the time; especially when I am getting spawn killed.. If I don't get the change to escape to a safe camp spot: No score for you buddy.

Love this thing, I nailed down the charge rate to the point where I don't even think of it anymore.. yeah unless it's a huge long range shot.

Exactly, Overdrives and supplies add to even faster hulls. Short range guns are carried around the map within no time. The new overdrive drop allows for a big pile of drugged up tankers who can move their way in the enemy base, grab flag and be gone. Just like that.. with the touch of a button. There's no hull variety, there's no gameplay variety and there is there's a continuous decrease in strategy. Everything is folded around the buttons.. pressing 12345 or shift. Those are the game changers. And for what? Everyone is canceling eachothers drugs anyway. I also hate that they even allow PRO battles to be made with supplies and overdrives and microupgrades and supply drops because that's just thinned down the real stock experience.. this is where teams can still hold their own due to teamwork; where every individual has a role on the map depending on the turret and hull. But 80% of the battles have atleast one of these anomalies in the settings which has direct impact on gameplay. I also blame the community for it.. for not stepping up and keep on using supplies outside the point-and-shoot Matchmaking; EDIT: they are literally addicted to the drugs that this game gives them.

^ Agree, the slightest offset makes your missile fly over the enemy. I think this proximity thing will work nice when trying to lead targets.. it doesn't have to do the work to make the hit but it's just going to make it easier in combination with the vertical auto aim. Currently your missile is wasted when you try to lead targets from height difference... yeah unless you rock your hull but that's nearly impossible to nail down. If anything they should nerf the salvo to compensate for the proximity tracking, salvo is clumsy and only for obvious (slow) targets in open terrain. Salvo should get a remap key function, I barely use salvo, actually it gets in the way when I hold the spacebar for just a little too long and the laser pops out while I were trying to get ahead of the reload time just to fire another single shot. It works with every other turret but Shaft and Striker. -- Someone deleted my initial post and another post that was a response to the deleted one. What's all the sneaky hiding about? or is there something wrong with my internet connection?

My observations to this are: Protection modules make more difference than a higher modification turret. But there's a lot of difference between the turrets themselves; some very noticable effects are: - No Striker protection modules - Lots of Railgun protection modules - Lots of Thunder protection modules - Short range weapons; Firebird, Freeze, Isida and odd-ball Twins are overpowered because the hulls are too fast. Protection modules overpower any modifications of medium to long range turrets. M2 against protection will lose compared to an M0 against no protection. Short range weapons being carried around the map on medium hulls somewhat overcome protection modules, especially Twins. Why? - There are no Striker modules because the controls of this turret are rigged. - Railgun is popular amongst the cancerous side of the Tanki Online community (it is also pretty dangerous) - Thunder is out-of-this world overpowered woah ----------------- So In theory, everyone should get Twins and buy an alteration because the turret sucks without it. There's no learning curve and if you buy both alterations, you can basically cover all sorts of game styles in this game no matter the map size. And expand your module spectrum because you will absolutely need it in the higher ranks where everyone is maxed out.

I agree, the vertical aim definitely needs to be adjusted. It now feels like your missiles randomly sail over enemies. It could be a bug aswell because quite often there are 1 or 2 missiles in the salvo that decide to go totally in the other direction. And it's not like the vertical aim range is short or something, I can quite easily hit players who are at a much higher vantage point than me... if they're absolutely static lol. I had one case where the enemy was in clear sight so I locked on- fired- and then all the missiles missed by a wide margain. All four of them! Unfortunately I have no recording from it as I do with the examples in the GIF so you've to take my word for it.

That sounds fair enough, I can't really make the connection since I don't use this thing but I am getting killed by it more frequently after the update And it has always been easy to kill Vulcans at close range.

How does Shoe do with Stiker, for it being higher.. I should be able to fire over my own teammates right? Or will I see my missiles sailing over enemies even more now?

I don't get why some people are fed up about the spin up increase, the damage at long range makes this thing really capable.

Exactly, Stuff has changed, medium hulls have the speed of light hulls from around 2013 with way more armor. And maps stayed relatively the same players need to cover the same distance. Which also explains why there's no hull variety anymore. 90% of MM is full of Viking and Hunter. Whe don't have dedicated defenders, mid-fielders or attackers; everybody is basically doing all of these things. I am one of them; switching to Wasp is fun but not productive.. besides I could charge the enemy base just as fine with Viking. Luckely I have Magnum to avoid most of the cheapskate spawn killing madness and lob shells from a safe spot full of my own mines.

But that never happens because everybody is trying to cancel out eachother's drugs. My average Magnum M4 shots do 1400 damage; and I never miss... yeah unless I got enemies up my (...) but that's just stupidity on my end because I haven't picked out a good camp spot. As soon as you get any edge on the enemy, players will ram up protection modules in your face and you're underpowered by default unless you switch camp spots and have 826 eyes that can view 360 degrees every step of the way. -

I can't, the send button does not work and the game does not register the enter key. Everything but the timer window is in a darker color; are we talking about the same thing?

Yeah same here, the other formats have different maps almost all the time. The more players the higher the variety I guess. I can't, how did you do it?
