Remember when we could actually microupgrade?

This is probably the most miserable MM battle I've been put in so far;
-
The funds update that happened recently also helps. I barely abandon a battle now unless I have to leave the PC. Before matchmaking, I instantly left the match when the enemy team had an advantage of 2 flags because I refuse getting spawn killed only to recieve a miserable reward. It's not worth the drugs either. I blame the overdrive for this vicious cycle. I don't know what algorithm MM uses but sometimes the rank brackets are way out of wack and no one joins a dying team. But the funds are okay even on a losing side and even if the team captured none while the enemy did 7.
-
Why does the amount of players decrease the effectiveness of the algorithm?
-
Use Shaft in large maps; Use Firebird in small maps; Use Smoky on open ground; Use.. Nah man this is what happens when you pair a turret with the best determined map based on the turret's statistics: That's how we roll baby, protection modules... so make sure you find a niche turret like Striker or use the wrong turret on the wrong map. and not use Thunder lol
-
Ah yeah, that's true. I don't know how Smoky does in the mid ranks because I am a pure Magnum user there. The critical shot alt is probably also more effective because Smoky deals more critical damage in relation to normal shots at earlier modifications, than it does at M3 or above. Can't agree more.. the instant hit and the reload makes it a true annoyance. I wouldn't have to worry about someone using double armor if I can manage to land shots contiously; making the dude miss. Mhehehehe, because no consumable affects knockback! Yet

I agree, Would a map filter work too? Like as if MM searches in the pool of Berlin maps for example?

Who will teach these silly XP users how to play?

That's not off-topic at all; I am sure there are extremely furious players playing with other turrets aswell but with Railgun it's insane. It's mainly the players using light hulls, Wasp and Hornet, that get extremely agressive over the stupidest things like shooting them by accident or not giving them enough room when they drive trough corridors. They shoot you and insult you and push you around. Perhaps it is my approach aswell, I absolutely won't back down when someone insults me. I say what I think but I don't insult anyone. I haven't been banned in years so I know what's possible and what's not. But I can instantly tell someone's been playing Railgun as their main weapon based on their reaction. I am always right... always. ------- Just pay attention to what players say in the chat, start with the Silence Parkour battles where Twins/Mammoth guys use repair kits whenever they get hit by a plasma ball. They'll spam the chat full of cyrellic text and stars are all over the place; directed to one specific person most of the time. I can almost guarantee you the dude's an XP/BP player. Ohh there are nice guys around. But an overall nice XP/BP player is a very rare species. Perhaps it's the community and the extreme urge to keep their reputation high. I don't mind that at all; there are serious gamers and casual gamers... but it's stupid to insult everyone and brag on and on about something, like as if you're the kind of the battlefield. Hah! Yes I do believe that Railgun users are like that; they are as population. It is hard to not generalize the Railers if I look back at all my encounters with them over the years. I also highly respect those who managed to keep their personality in the toxic environment of the light hulled Railers. Hopefully I'll meet someone one day. With that said I also don't think people should be offended by the things I've said; unless they can relate. -------------- Today: -
How about.... Rectangulum?

That's the best looking paint in this game in my opinion; I love Carbonfibre- like textures. I've heard that around 12 people have it but I'm not sure. No doubt it is rare though. Source EDIT: is the lucky 7 paint still around or was it temporary?

Traceur is valuable I'd say, it's pretty old now and currently not availble in containers but who knows what the developers will do.

That's how I see it, I don't mind having those 'pro's' as enemy but I don't want Railers in my team who are doing trickshots for the sake of montages or whatever video. Railers in general are angry toxic and unreasonable people to talk to and so I've decided to do the same to them. I have no doubt that there are friendly guys around and don't use the turret to show off and I have nothing against them at all. You think I'm generalizing the Railgun population and I probably am. This is my view. Like a grumpy old grandpa. When they do trickshots and see that they failed I will instantly tell them via the chat. I am confirming what they did not accomplish but without an insult. Boi you should see the reactions. I had one guy following me for 40 something minutes before the matchmaking. The insults are always the same: kid this kid that, ez this ez that or 1v1. -

Does that sound suprising to you? Ego-gun has always been the turret for players who think they look cool when doing unneccesary trickshots. I don't get it either.. why rush in with a longe range turret? I shoot them 2 or 3 times with Striker in they're down in 2 seconds. Sometimes I see Railers who turn a full circle before they shoot, like lol what's the point of that? Well I don't mind.. they miss all the time and it saves me a little HP. On the other hand, the snipers are pretty dangerous. This is why I use Railgun protection a lot. But I also use it to slam up those ego's in their.. Out of all players, the XP Railers ram into me the most and typing all sorts of cyrellic text or calling me a dog or something. Well woof woof to that. Keep on doing trickshots on your miserable light hulls. Smoky users will love it. -
Striker and Shaft
-
When will they fix the lags, are the developers aware? It's going on for 5 full days now.
-
Then why did you came up with that initial answer?
-
Nice price/performance ratio; but the 960 is a true allrounder.
-
Really -10 points, like a full kill? Ohh well, lets quit using light hulls immediately and start using medium hulls. The hell with hull variety anyway.
-
It doesn't have to be 100% long range alt for large maps; the knockback alt would suit well when going for the attack.
-
Yeah, I shouldn't have said that now that I think of it; the standard situation is drugged. It definitely is, but you'll get a hang of it. My aim was horrible at first, it has improved somewhat. I think the salvo is a stupid gimmick that doesn't add anything.. it's too specialized for this game. Even if the enemy didn't see your laser in the 46-something years you've been pointing it at em; the rockets don't always hit. Quite often some of my rockets fly straight over the dude while the others slam right in with a perfect arc. I barely use salvo myself, can't seem to get it work. If I were you I'd train those single shots, you'll do much better after a few days.
-
It is indeed massively overpowered; protection paints against it are not effective enough consider it's %-per shot and Twins poops out a million shots per milisecond.
-
Yes it is but it won't serve you in the attack like the stock Smoky, instead you'll have the element of suprise with the extra critical damage. I usually sit in the bushes on the lower ground of Kungur; It'll do great as mid-fielder picking out targets from a reasonable distance. But the knockback alt is pretty good too, it'll knock off medium hulls easily. In Sandbox, the knockback alt is a must have.
-
A little? Those pesky Railers need 18 shots or something to kill my fat Mammoth along with maxed out protection. They still have the knockback though, it's worse when you use Viking.
-
Meh, the biggest difference you'll notice is turret rotation speed. Damage is already out of this world if you manage to hit something; It can 2 shot a Viking at M3 and it can 2 shot a Viking at M4. It can 2 shot a Hornet at M3 and it can 2 shot a Hornet at M4. It can 3 shot a Mammoth at M3 and it can 3 shot a Mammoth at M4. There's no sweet spot in damage, performance stays pretty much the same as you MU. Striker isn't worth upgrading to 20/20 as it does well already at M3.

Matchmaking: concept is good but poorly executed.
