You have a valid point on the 2-shot by the way, the little HP that Rail M0 leaves left after 2 shots is very unfortunate. Let's not forget the reload time here though. Woah calm down Mr.9-year-railer.. I could care less about XP/BP; I don't like the format and the average x.x.xII..XP/BP..PRO..IIx.x.x user. However, I am a fan of more alterations aslong as they don't dramatically alter the original stats of a turret. so to speak; altering a Thunder with twice the reload and twice the damage. Your alteration would make an M4 Rail reload within 2 seconds, which is faster than an M4 Thunder. Knockback apparently stays the same, that'll be some interesting gameplay. I wouldn't care if they'd implent that alt in XP matches only though.

Shaft on mouse controls is something I use all the time. It's so much better than the traditional controls. Holding the right mouse key makes your laser to stay still while you can move the view around.. radical view increase and all the bonuses of hiding the laser are there. Shaft is a true sniper weapon that limits your gameplay to some degree. I think the alterations make Shaft too specialized. There are more fast hulls driving around. The big fat heavy ones usually stay put in the base. My Shaft deals 3000 damage at max which is enough to kill small and medium hulls.

There are trade-offs by adjusting the parameters for this kind of self-destructing. The current code makes space maps possible without too many fly hackers. I believe they had a real tough time figuring out what the best setting would be with the least amount of compromises. You're talking about an extreme example here. Going straight up with a Magnum is pretty hard for the system to determine if you're doing fly hacks. Perhaps they can fix this in the HTML 5 version. We're talking about a code that is built on Flash Player which is extremely outdated. HTML5 might give them some more headroom.

Ugh, I'm glad they fixed the pop-up errors. I had an error every 30 seconds on all platforms. Playing trough the Standalone was absolutely impossible. When I saw that they fixed it trough a server update I went out and played for a bit... No errors at all! For nearly half a year these errors limited my gameplay. The fix was one of the best updates in a long time.

Why do we need a help site? Why is there no more problems and solutions section? Can someone give me a valid reason why our own expertise here is not enough?

If you can find one that is; a lot of NS battles are XP/BP nonsense and everyone wants to complete missions. The overdrive update even ruined part of the NS battles. Finding one without any drugs or drops is near impossible; they're even more of a niche. These are the kind of battles where teamplay is crucial and most of those who're playing there know it. I haven't found one in days, perhaps I am playing the wrong online game... I didn't played the wrong game when I started.

I do it trough right clicking the desktop icon. Try messing with the settings a bit, I don't know the exact problem but I think it has to do with the way the game window is being resized.

Lankbouv is having the same problem. I have the same problem in Standalone sometimes when I go into full screen mode. Have you tried disabling auto-DPI scaling in the client settings? (right click desktop icon > properties) Does the problem go away (even temporary) if you press F11 a few times?

On the other hand, goldboxes might get you a victory if you sneak trough and manage to get the flag because half of the enemy team, if not more; will go for the goldbox. Might be even more important in NS battles where it's hard to get trough enemy defense.

From a sentimental point of view, I'd say yes. But like Cooper said, they cause distraction and more or less sabotage; which is why we don't see them anymore. That is, íf the original situation could be discribed as 'balanced' Personally I wouldn't mind if they brought them back. 90% of the battles are doomed from the start because of the drugs and overdrives. I used to care for the team but now I just sit, camp and wait which team starts to drug first to decide whether I should leave the match or keep camping. Having a few boxes falling around here and there wouldn't do much harm, atleast not outside NS battles.
