Mainly that late M3 unlock. Most people don't have the patience for late unlocks.

Basically the difference is that M3 Hunter is better stat-wise, for use in cybersport. M3 Viking is better on drugs. You choose whichever you need more.

Sure, a one on one against another heavier Shaft means the lighter one loses, if the lighter one is foolish enough to camp and not be mobile, which is the whole point of the lighter hull.

Not really, M2 Rico outclasses it in almost every way.

Much respect for Rico now. Using M0 on Warrant Officers on my alt proved how deadly it can be with some aim.

If you really want Fire, you should buy it in the next 50% sale. If not, then save.

I'd say save for M3s.. you seem to already have a good assortment of turrets and hulls, and why buy Rustle if you don't even own Thunder, and considering how much more popular Rico is now, wouldn't Spark be a better choice?

I'd say it depends on your playing style. Do you like being a defender or attacker? Freeze for defense, Firebird for offense. I suggest buying M0 Freeze and seeing if you like it or not, then decide.

Anybody here with M2 Fire have an opinion on how well it does in Brigadier ranks and above against M3s? (Freeze, Isida, Thunder, etc.)

It's not impossible. I saved 300k starting from Captain rank. Just need patience. :)

I've always been using a Hornet for all of my golds, and usually Isida.

No longer blue flames, don't know why they changed it. After Rebalance the color just turned into same red for all Ms.

But M3 is at Gizmo. So.. long way away.

Might as well blow some crystals on some Supplies. Will you really use the paint enough for it to be worth the cost, or will it be a temporary pleasure?
