I just got done playing quite a few games where the crystals I grab don't register until AFTER the game id over and I log out, or check battles etc, but NOT in game. Never seen this one before.... :roll:

I tried to connect to tankionline.com and repeatedly it just times out, with "504 Gateway Time-out nginx/0.7.65" Any reason this is happening?

There is nothing wrong with wanting to make a few $$ or rubles. The problem is that the longer you play, the less interesting and the more annoying it becomes unless you pay money. Its a model that just wont work. Eventually, the core group of players will get bored and leave, and the only money being made will be bits from kiddies with Mom's credit card. Oh well, it was promising......... The prices are crazy expensive... I just looked and for me to "buy" one of the 12,000 paints would cost me $81 !!!! Are they out of their freaking minds???? What fool is paying that kind of money on this crap? Its a joke, right? I mean with 400,000 users, even charging $2 for a paint could net them $800,000 just for paints because people WOULD pay $2 , NOT $81.... I hope they take what money they ARE making and go to business school... get an MBA, and a clue, and learn how to market software. Don't believe the hype :roll:

i don't believe that no more up close freeze/firebird will murder smokey and from far range thunder will and medium range ricochet will pwn it Smokey kills those freeze/firebird/thunder/ricochet if you have played like 15 months with it! So true, totally agree, Smokey is great if you have skillz, otherwise go buy a rico and play like an amateur :)

is it just me or have th load times gotten out of hand?? I just tried to join games and it was hung after loading 595 items and took like 5+ minutes to get in a CTF game!!!! (note, my connection was fine, and speeds fine elsewhere)

I have an idea on how to make many people happy: There should be a way to allow / disallow weapons in games when you create them. As it is, you can make a game and put limits on rank, but not which weapons are acceptable. If this were possible, people could make fair games. For example: any rank + smoky only, or any weapon EXCEPT ricochet, etc etc People could make a game allowing rail and smoky ONLY, and have a fun sniper war. The possibilities are endless, and it would bring balance back to Tanki ( it's become unbalanced and boring lately IMHO )

Mm... I'm beginning to think this is a REALLY good idea myself. The "old" style weapons should also be cheaper than the "super weapons" as they have no magical effects like the ricochet, freeze or splash. - It'll mean getting all of our old favorites back! - There will be cheaper weaponry options for those with financial problems or lower standards. - It'll also give more options and variety, reducing the number of specialty weapons in the field. A flag defense for example only needs ONE freezer - any additional defenders may be better off using m6 smokers or twins. A team may want one or two ricochets to take out sniper positions, but the rest of the tanks may be better off with more ordinary weaponry with more dps and less magic. Right? Some like regular weapons and I guess some prefer the goofy magic type (ugggh) Wouldn't it be cool if there could be CTF matches where the old school with smoky etc. could battle new kids with freeze rays and such? Now THAT would be fun :)

Thats true, but only if by "alot" you mean hours / day of playing and winning! It's still just a greedy system that really just wants noobs to BUY crystals rather than making it reasonable for those that earn them to ever get enough for the big toys!

I don't think it "hurts" anyone. It's just going to be chaos and messy and unusable if everyone decides to post in whatever language they want, wherever they want. That, and it's the RULES. I Love the idea of adding m4 m5 m6 etc to smokey etc. There should be no reason to force people into using new weapons once they become fans of ols ones. Fun is a factor that should be considered alongside sheer power or else we will end up with less diversity and just stupid fireballs bouncing off everything!
