Now this is what I want your opinion on, and how it should be dealt with.

  • Derailing threads is something that happens here very commonly, Person A starts discussion about X, Someone comes and changes the discussion to Y. Person A gets mad.
  • Posting pictures and memes. I'm not saying one or two of them. I'm talking around 5+ in the same thread for no apparent reason. Just like randomly putting a cat picture in a guide. etc
  • cheap_plastic_flower

1. That's trolling, should be banned as much as trolling is, i.e. a day, being upgraded to a week for repeated offences.

2. Animated gifs should be banned. I don't see the point of memes as conveying a point across either. I mean, memes are awesome but only as memes. Not as a post in a topic. IMO, they should be banned.

3. Arguably the best and certainly the funniest active member of the community.

I thought Mods have their opinions and rules...Anyway,

The general rules of TankiOnline apply everywhere - I'm talking about section specific rules, Specially for this section. Thread sticky'd.

Also, skitee what do you think of GIFs in {spoiler} tags? I've been doing that for a while with walls of texts and huge pictures.

GIFs in spoiler tags make no difference. The problem IMO is not that gifs cause people to lag the thread - they can close the page (and they should be getting a better computer if that happens :P). The problem is that gifs are overused and can be taken inappropriately. For example, some people are using the "Cool story bro" gif to say anything positive. Now "Cool story bro" actually is a sarcastic term used ironically to something boring (source: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=cool%20story%20bro). Someone who is sensitive could take that gif in the completely wrong sense. It's the same with other gifs. Gifs are very hard to work out what is actually meant by the posting of the gif (except those with words on them). Because of the potential sensitivity that could come with inappropriate gif sharing, I think gifs should be forbidden except in specific (Post cool gifs here etc) threads.

Now that's just inapropriate language! You'll be banned sooner or later ;)

I would actually appreciate it if you could tell me what inappropriate language I used. If you think "cocky" is inappropriate, I would advise you to check your dictionary before jumping to conclusions.

hog never gets banned O:

Debatable.

That's what I thought. I'm going to get the crystals back anyway...;p

I now have total respect for you. B)

This annoys the life out of me. Every time I see this, I think "Im going to crack up, Im going to crack up...". This is often hard to dscern for mods however, to see how de-railed is de-railed. You should ban according to the legitimacy of the de-railing.

Ok so up until now - Ignoring all the trolls, This is what I have from you people Derailing threads is something that happens here very commonly,

1 Person A starts discussion about X, Someone comes and changes the discussion to Y. Person A gets mad.

2 Posting pictures and memes. I'm not saying one or two of them. I'm talking around 5+ in the same thread for no apparent reason. Just like randomly putting a cat picture in a guide. etc

3 cheap_plastic_flower

1- Anyone who does that is at automatic ban (posting things non related to the topic)

2-Same as one.

3- cheap_plastic_flower needs a good 1 month ban for all the trolling that he did, trolling is against the rules and he should be banned. This goes the same for all trollers/people.

A Creation section would be cool. a place to put things that people have created. Photoshopped pictures, custom paints, drawings, custom paints, maps, etc. (Russian Section)

And i think we're ready for a Free Sport section. Where you can duel others, and play in tournaments like TOF. (Russian Section)

Oh yeah, the forum games should get their own section. It is off-topic stuff, but it doesn't need to be mixed in with topics that are meant to be discussed. (Russian Section)

I like the first idea, about the creation section.

I do like the Free Sport section too, but there are not that many duels/contests like TOF in a year, so I don't think a topic for that is needed.

In the Russian section, it's a section where people can challenge others to duels, and show off their dueling prestige etc. I think it would be great if we could have a forum like that.
