Because "onar" is sooooo similar to флаг. Also kirill is a fish that you can eat. Good with the right sauces.

I see a lot of people using one of these names in their nickname: ''slava'' ''roma'' or ''dima''

What does it mean? is it their name or something?

Because honestly; the nickname doesn't look good if you want to represent something and isn't your real name...

I understand if people put it in their nickname, if it is their actual name in real life.

 

But why are there so many of them, are they russian?

I tried to search for the meanings of them on google, but I couldn't find anything related to ''dima'', ''slava'' or ''roma''

 

It's just a common name in russia. And probably in Ukraine too.The name "dima" is a common name in my country too. It's just like "bob" "bill" "Walter" etc.
