The answer to your question is very simple.

 

People just dont know how to use a forum. 80% of users are little kids with your first game online. They still dont know for what servers an forum.

An forum exists to talk about things related to the game. Problems, new ideas, suggestions, hints, etc. But here is just for flood, offtopic, trolls and flame war.

 

99% of threads is pure flood. And there's a competition between the trolls to see who makes the most flood.

 

In this point, the MODs should immediately delete this flood. But they dont. We dont know why (this is not the point), but the new players and the others continue with the same systematic because they know the MODs will do nothing.

Nothing personnal MODs, but i think is tiime to reconsider your view. I know, the work of an MOD is not easy (Im MOD in 2 foruns since 2002) but the forum needs more attention now.

 

While this free behavior continue, the tendency will be get worse.

I read your posts, ANFO. I agree with a lot of your points. It was well written and presented in a civil manner. It was just the fact that your valid complaints and those of others are often lost is this jumbled up mess we call a Forum. You had a good topic. It disappeard in the cloud of garbage that some of the other users had posted. If it had been placed in an area free from the "one line wonders" everyone could have read it. Now it is slowly disappearing off of the pages because of the "other stuff". Just like this one; it will be flooded out.

I agree with you , Kmakanaka. People just stopped making topics and posting. It was just too much trouble. Someone might make a great topic and it was usually flooded out. Sometimes in a matter of hours. I am also aware of what your were doing. You made a good effort, but you along with several other people, would make comments in topics that should been allowed to disappear as quickly as possibe. All you did was push it back up to the top of the page and let it start all over again. Maybe you need to be more selective about the topics when you decide to make a comment. You make some great comments, but you always make them in topics most people don't even take the time to read.

dude I don't know how to say this but here u mods and admins are very nice I just wish update 123 was took back I played an hour on silence got first got 7 cry when total fund was 700 I was kinda mad but I had fun I love how u guys help everyone I don't mean to be mean in anyway but this is my opinion I bet the people who protest agiants the updates are probably from the USA like me and they have a reason to protest in the USA so they think it is ok here

all you've said was indeed correct but the reason is for example if i were to go to the off-topic area i wouldn't find a thread i really loved so i guess i just started commenting on useless threads :( It's not like as it uses to be m creating topics out of the blue which gave a forum high for a about a 1 day then disappeared or how i would comment on 30+topics a day since they where all interesting but another reson why the forum is dying is Forum games that kept everyone entertained.

 

I also blame mods fo closing things we liked to make there job easier.

tbh the whole forum is very amature. the set up, the moderating structure - you name it. go onto any large well run forum and see the difference. in fact the forum is a direct reflection on the game in general. amature town in dixie.

It is very true. Half the time when I sign into the forums more than half of the topics I see are just there to hold a slot or gain posts count, truth is most people who make those topics are bored and need to go find something better to do. As for me I've seen this ( the forum is going to die ) action go on many a time too many. Thing is most of everyone says it will die but alas in the end. It's still alive no? Anyways I've been here for ages and I've seen people leave and join. Only way to deal with trolls and forum flooders alike is very simple. Ignore them, don't post on their topics, don't create complaints about them, and lastly don't encourage them by starting flame wars. If every member of the forum went by those 5 things I just stated everything would be just as cool as anyone could wish for.

Yes, I think that, firstly, there should be a crackdown on useless non-contributing and repeat topics.

 

Look at the Russian general section, any and all useless and repeat topics are locked and put away, why should that not happen here?

For another example, there in Russian forum are special topics for discussing each of the guns and hulls, and anything concerning these equipment which prevents further topics complaining about the equipment.

The same for any popular and much-discussed topic.

 

There should be made special topics here for whichever the users wish to discuss; any originality welcomed with open arms and flood will be denied vehemently.

 

Even though that would probably restrict what the user can and cannot post, I think it will liven up the discussion and encourage order and compliance amongst us.

I agree that a lot of the stuff posted is garbage, and 99.9% of the people can't spell worth a damn, let alone write a grammatically correct sentence, but it's easy for you to just come in here and start railing at everyone. If you want reform, I suggest leading by example. Post useful and edifying threads instead of just periodically yelling at people. I know you mean well, but a "better than thou" attitude is not going to result in people conforming to your wishes.

Also, I disagree strongly with your suggestion to delete any posts that exhibit a religious view. Where I come from, we have freedom of religion. I, for one, am a Christian, and will never hide that, especially not to satisfy some corporate entity's communistic ideals.

The truth like i said before, the useful people such as i who kept topics which where interesting running and commented on 8 threads keeping them up top simply disappeared and where replaced by non helpful people, ans the result of this meant good thread makers simply vanished

 

But all is not lost. One day the things will return when mods become more active

CPF, completely agree, we all know that we are not exzempt from this though. We all go on forum on a boring day and post answers to stuff we really dont know about so we all need to think before we post as you have here and most people have.
