Time Zones

OK, so you want to play with a friend, but they live in a different country - India. Well, how will you be able to meet again? You say, 'How about 5pm tomorrow?', but he can't, as it is 10:45pm where he lives. Well, here is a table to show how it goes in relation to GMT. As you go down the table, you must add hours to see the difference, made by me in MS Excel '07.

OK, ever heard things about UTC +3 or something and had no idea what it meant? Here's another list of these abbreviations.

UTC - Universal Time Coordinated - This is the same as GMT, which is in London, UK.

BST - British Summer Time - Used in Britain during the summer. This is one hour ahead of GMT. (W/ Daylight Saving.)

GMT - Greenwich Meant Time - The time England uses in Winter, the same as UTC. (W/O Daylight Saving.)

EST - Eastern Standard Time - This is GMT - 5 hours, so if you use this time zone, you must add 5 hours to get to GMT.

CET - Central European Time - This is GMT +1 hour, so if you use this time zone you must take away 1 hour to get to GMT.

EET - Eastern European Time - This is GMT +2 hours, so if you use this time zone, you must take away 2 hours to get to GMT.

CST - Central Standard Time - This is GMT -6 hours, so if you use this time zone, you must add 6 hours to get to GMT.

Finally, what is daylight saving? In some countries, during the Winter the clocks move forward one hour, and this is Daylight Saving. That's pretty much it.

I hope this helps! If there are any regions you want me to add, please say.

To be honest, all you have to do is say:

Meet up at 5pm GMT +0 or something

Everyone would search up their time zone (if they dont know it already) and if it is, suppose, GMT +6, you add 6 to the time, so you meet up at 11pm (your time)
