Help - Flash Standalone Issue

Problem Resolved - Use CCleaner to clear flash contents from your pc.

Hi everyone.

Since very shortly I have started to experience a weird problem with standalone player. It seems to have recently acquired a hatred of server 2 for some reason. It somehow miraculously works with any server I try to log on, except for server 2 which is normally the server I always go to (that's where all the peeps I know hang out). As soon as I put in the link and click open it crashes and exit straight away.

 

I've search around and I can't find anyone having had similar issues in the past. I need help and alternatives such as playing on browsers are not an option for me. I have also already tried clearing caches and website storage , it still wouldn't solve it, so i kept trying everything i could and i even uninstalled all of flash (both IE and non IE) , flash plugins, used flash player uninstaller, even removed shockwave player and rebooted before re-installing...

and yet, it still is here... so if anyone could shed some light as to what is happening here, please do so... Tanki without standalone is , well it ain't tanki :(

I have the same problem. My preferred server is 2, and it doesnt work. I made a topic about it.

Don't go on Server 2. Ask your friends to play somewhere else.

I dont play on server 2 just for my friends, it also has the largest variety of maps and game modes that are suitable for my rank.

Yeah same problem i go on server 2 it just closes :huh:

After clearing with CCleaner It's working well and I can play on every server, S2 being my favourite.

Hi Elain, thanks for sharing that with us, it all runs smoothly now.. and i really think the method of using CCleaner to clear flash should be in the FAQ as the traditional and manual way of clearing the flash cache doesn't resolve this kind of problem, but CCleaner is more thorough..

 

So @FederalBureauFBI or any other mod if you're reading this please do include this method in the How to clean Flash FAQ Thread .. thanks
