The important point to remember here, is that lizardgirl's video was something she wanted to "SHARE" with us. This wasn't a major production, or some sort of collage media assignment, which is evident by her own account: "I WANTED TO SHARE MY VIDEO" and "TOTALLY RANDOM". The definition for "RANDOM" being, "Without pattern: done, chosen, or occurring without a specific pattern, plan, or connection."

 

I guess fsdfsdf missed that one. And probably was somewhat unaware that humor is commonplace in Off-Topic Discussion, which is why he got all serious and everything; leading to his dose of insulting sarcasm, directed at those members that were only trying to be funny.

 

Who knows, maybe after reading the Off-Topic forums for a few months fsdfsdf will eather tear his/her own hair out, or go crazy like the rest of us; instead of taking simple humor as an attack on his, or her own credibility.

 

I think the Vid was good, for a "random" piece of work... :)

Great to receive a *polite* response :) I think that you are partially correct (fsdfsdf took the whole thing a little too seriously), but that he is entitled to make suggestions, and he did say that it was 'constructive criticism' he was making :P So, yes, I agree, but I also think that certain other people shouldn't have insulted fsdfsdf in the way they did (the homourous pictures were fine, though) :)

You state that you agree with what byebyeoooooh has posted, yet emphasize only your partial agreement that fsdfsdf took the whole thing a little too seriously, but that he is entitled to make suggestions. And that you also think that certain other people shouldn't have insulted fsdfsdf in the way they did.

 

Not only does the attitude of your statement make it appear as though fsdfsdf in the unwitting victim, but it deverts the resolution factor of byebyeoooooh's post, in creating the groundwork for an "open end" argument; whether intentional, or not.

 

Just incase you didn't read the opening page of this thread. You will find that it was fsdfsdf who initiated sarcastic insults, at first, directed at two forum members (Hitchiy and micah7586) who were only trying to be funny. Then when monkeyburn posted his humorous "HOOPLA" picture in an attempt to calm the situation at hand. fsdfsdf's sarcastic insults were directed at him.

 

Q: Did fsdfsdf take things a little too seriously? A: I think he did.

Q: Is there anything in byebyeoooooh's post that states fsdfsdf is not entitled to make suggestions? A: No.

Q: Is stating that other people shouldn't have insulted fsdfsdf in the way they did, argumentative? A: I think so, considering that it was fsdfsdf who initiated the sarcastic insults (see post #9 on Page 1.).

Q: Did byebyeoooooh do a fairly adequate job of putting this issue to rest, once and for all? A: I think he did. We should move on. Everyone makes mistakes. Good Day. And Good Luck.

I have LURKED here long enough. It is time for THE MASTER to finally speak. I watched the video more than once, just like everyone else that has watched it. There is something "hypnotic" about it. It suddenly dawned upon me.

 

It is a trick that professional movie makers use to "hook" the viewer. Remember Dances with Wolves ?? Remember those stunning vistas of the plains and the mountains ?? Human beings are naturally in awe of big things like mountains and vast open spaces like barren plains and deserts. These things are for the big screen and not the little screen. I bet that simple video would look great on the BIG SCREEN if it were tweaked and enhanced. We are not talking Tanki Battle videos here !!

 

Lizerdgirl has what can only be described as "raw natural talent". Without knowing it she was able to create images that naturally fascinate human beings. I strongly encourage her to pursue her interest in videography. Stop wasting your time in this forum and find a good film and video discussion group on the net.
