My deepest condolences -_-

I happened to be online at the time the incident happened and I quickly switched to some US tv to see the original footage. Then I saw BBC's coverage and facepalmed so hard:

*extract from the BBC coverage*

THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE COVERED IN BLOOD!

*me*

Why thank you BBC, that's very f-ing informative of you. Cheers!

...Yes, I would agree it came in as a shock to some *competent* media...

R.I.P.

careful, you could get banned for using f as an abbreviation for the you-know-what word.

Please have some respect; this topic is about those affected in the Boston Marathon bombing, not those in other countries, even though you are correct that every tragedy should be heard!

Swag you don't know anything, do you?

Kids in Africa die of malnutrition/AIDS/and other diseases.

And you guys make such a big deal of 3 people dying.

You're missing the point - yes terrible things happen every day around the world - but that isn't a reason to ignore the shock, pain and suffering caused by this event. Condolences to all the families devastated by this cowardly attack.

No, we shouldn't ignore it when this sort of thing happens in other places--but it is especially shocking when it happens in first-world countries, at a world-class event.

It's because this country has fallen so far from the state in which it was founded: in Liberty, Integrity, and most importantly, it was founded as a nation under God. The government dabbles in restrictive laws and security, but in reality they can't do a damned thing to stop tragedies like this happening. It's the human heart they're trying to defend against, yet there's only One who can change the heart.

Until this nation as a whole turns back to God, things like this are going to continue to happen. Until then, we can pray.

i think that they might be the cause of it, so why would they stop it from happening? and yes one nation under god, not anymore, sad just sad. if the whole world could be one fold... with the one shepherd, there would be no problems

And than people say human can make his own way to God. (humanists)

My condolences to the victims and the families. I live far away from there, but it

does start you thinking: They die because of bombs, while we are having fun destroying other tanks.

Of course, we know those tanks aren't real people, but still, the idea...

Guys, how about we stop arguing about death, and give our deepest condolences to people who suffer all around the world, either because of natural causes, or something else. You don't know what death is like, until it strikes someone close to you.

insult! your saying iraq is a third-world country? your insulting the people of Iraq! the only reason their not a first world country is because we keep oppressing them. if we'd just leave them alone, maybe there would be no more bombs! think about it that way. i'm sure its "especially shocking" when it happens every day in iraq

Such tragedies are ones that we have to be united in helping the victims and the families of the victims get on with life without their most beloved ones. We have to show support in those victims, and pray that god will seek justice in those that have the intent to harm. May everyone that sees this help in contributing their prayers to these people. Arguments are what create these tragedies, and it would be nice not to have any in this topic. Let's use this as an opportunity to pay our respects.

Greatly appreciated.
