It's Off-topic, not Off-forum. As long as it's in this forum, all the forum rules apply in it.

Why do you think it doesn't get banned? Yes, Mods are inactive most of the time, but still, they do ban, no matter if you see it, or not.

I never said it doesn't. I think you fail to realise the context of what I was saying. I was pointing out to Dr. Kirov that his reasoning for banning flaming, profanity and trolling was to stop racism from happening. Seems a bit too much of a precaution, no?

The forum rules will not be altered, whether it is general rules or off-topic rules. You need to understand that people will not be banned for nothing, we are not gestapo.

The rules will be specified in future, but not changed.

It seems as if the rules have now been specified. What do you guys think of the definition of trolling? Is it too restrictive? Do you think that the contents of this topic, and topics or posts like it should be a banable offense? Discuss, Discuss, Discuss!

I do understand everyone has his own opinion - this is great. And everyone's free to express it.

 

What I was saying is that the original Russian Off-topic rules were established in 2009. After all, the game is Russian, the Devs are trying to apply those rules in the other forums. Yesterday those rules (that are nothing new actually, as I said, it's just a mix from the most important stuff of the Forum Rules) came in the English forum. I'm sure after some time they will go in the German forum too.

 

But they won't be changed/cancelled just because you, me, or some trolls want it. It doesn't work that way.

But what about light hearted teasing, such as CPF or monkeyburn like to do? Is that an offense to be banned for? I think, and many players probably agree with me, that people like CPF and monkeyburn are the ones who help keep this forum alive.

I in no way want to disrespect the moderators or administration of Tankionline, they all do an amazing job and Tankionline is one of the most impressive online gaming platforms on the Net.

The tanki community are the heart and soul of Tankionline and the forum is a wonderful place to discuss current events, questions, and conserns.

It is frustrating many of the tanki community that they cannot discuss openly many topics that are affecting game play at the present time as many of these issues have been discussed in the past and are buried 60 pages back in the forum so the new instances of these issues get locked and buried again. We are left to discuss useless topics that give no valuable information or positive feedback.

That's why we have Search. Before creating dupe topics, search and see if it doesn't already exist. If it does, it's relevant and you have a good reason to bump it - bump it, you won't be banned. But creating topics that already exist is forbidden.
