More descriptive death sentences

Recommended Posts

I've already searched this one. So, you know how it always says, Player_1 destroyed Player_2? If Player_1 had a firebird, then the new sentence would say: Player_1 burnt Player_2. This would provide gun detail so other players can build strategies faster. It also makes it a bit more interesting to read.

Good idea; different kill phrases sound really cool.

I think this is the first time someone posted an idea and Split didn't say, post this on the suggestions site. It is a good idea though.

Semyon is the one who manages the feedback site, but he pop'd up here already. :D

No, it will spam the kills and block the screen. Learn to tell what weapon hit you.

It'll only replace the word 'destroyed' I don't see the problem with that

Because it's ugly. "Twinned" disgusts me. So does "Burnt," etc.

How about it would still say:

Player1 destroyed Player2.

However, the difference would be the description would be in parenthesis. That way it would still keep it precise, un-confusing, and understandable, but yet add your suggestion so that we'd know what gun killed whom.

Example: Firebird ->

Player1 destroyed (Burned) Player2.

-------------------------------------------------------------

That way it would still please the people who want to keep it original with the ''Destroyed'' because not only are they used to it, but it's easier to comprehend in my opinion. It's easier to use the same word so you know what happened to your teammate or enemy in one glance- or not even. With the Destroyed word omitted, it'd be a bit more uncomfortable in my opinion. This would also please the people who are in favor to this suggestion. So it's a win-win situation, no?

Player1 Burned Player2.

I prefer that, simple yet effective and people obviously know how player 2 got 'destroyed'
