You know there's no such thing as "better", right? Sometimes Smoky is better to use, sometimes Thunder.

Smoky is the king of guns in tankionline and I love it, I don't have any other gun in garage. :D

It is! But sadly it is most likely impossible to keep fighting with it the whole stretch between M1 and the very late appearing Smoky M2. :(

 

Already when the heavy M1 's like Thunder and early M2 's like Freeze start to appear it becomes a lot harder!

Let alone the early upgrading M2 hulls you start to encounter.....

 

You have the possibility of MU 'ing the Smoky now and that is good, but I am sure even the fully micro-upgraded M1 will be no match against let say a Thunder M2 or Railgun M2!

 

If you do not really want to struggle all the way and want a somewhat similar weapon it is better to go for Thunder M1 and/or at least M2.

 

So Smoky is the King, but even a King needs a break! ;)

I've a critical chance of 9% now.

And although there are slightly more peaks of critical shots; I wouldn't advise upgrading it.

I think that knockback increase, and damage increase of both critical hit, and normal shots, would be the best parameters to upgrade.

 

It's way to expensive, if you compare it with the results.

If you max out Thunder with MU's; those differences are higher. (but way more expensive)

I'm glad I have Smoky again, I didn't use it much since the rebalance and it feels good to have the reflexes coming back. I am gonna use it mostly with Wasp, Hunter or Viking and Titan.

So yeah, now my favorite weapons are Thunder, Smoky and Railgun.. Then comes Firebird, Shaft and Rico which are great but don't satisfy me as much as the first mentioned.

Do you use Smoky? With which hull? In which maps? Gamestyle? Results?

I love to use the Smoky with the plain ol' Hunter, which is actually a good choice for it. Beause of decent speed, a fair amount of armour, and a ton of balance, this hull is the perfect choice for any player. If I had to choose, I would say I like to use it maps like Silence, Canyon, and Polygon because I am a pretty good mid- field player. However, the thing about the Smoky is that it's so versitile, so it can be used for any type of gameplay, with any hull, in any map! That being said, I also like playing in large maps like Chernobyl, Serpuhov, and Tribute. That is why I love the Smoky!
