Hi guys. viking is my favorite hull, but i have a question about it. i know you need to be Lieutenant-colonel to upgrade viking to m2, but i've seen players that had m2 viking, but were only second lieutenants. why is that?

They bought the medium m2 kit.

Hornet, because it drifts, is pleasant to drive and is rather fast. Well very fast for a M1.

xD Im sooo confused in which one to get i use thunder, and i dont want to use too much crys so it has to be one or the other. But Viking seems pretty cool, the only thing that worries me is the speed

^ The speed is more than enough for me at M1, and I use Wasp. Just don't purposely compare the speed of Viking to the speed of Hornet. I say get Viking.

Viking is perfect for Thunder.

As Thunder isn't a long-range, nor short-range weapon.

 

So it's not really made for attacking, nor defending.

It's pure midfield... average speed and average HP fits it just right.

 

Viking is slightly leaning to more health and less speed.

From all the medium range weapons, I would consider Thunder as the one with the longest range, and slowest reload.

 

Smoky; being slightly faster in reload, burst damage etc... would fit better on a Hunter.

Thunder doesn't need a direct hit, the splash damage would make the speed of your hull a less important factor.

 

I'm definitely not saying that light hulls are bad with Thunder.

I can enjoy Thunder with light hulls just as much, it's an interesting form of gameplay.

Viking is a useless tank,it's stability doesn't suit my gameplay,as it is tooo stable and I can't lean over the edge and snipe people with my rail,MU can't help

HP,vik m3 has lower hp then my dic m3,with the speed it's the same,so no reason to buy it BUT    with MU viking has more health then dictator when fully MUed,Dictator still the fastest :D


Look? Pretty ugly,it just has a few armor plates and it looks like a flat square pancake... MU can't help this :D

Place of turret? Not a good place to mount the turret on,it's on the center of the hull,so not so easy to " hide and surprise and shoot some1 when hiding behind a wall-trick" or something.... As with mammoth or dictator the turret is mounted at the right or left end of the hull,what makes this trick a lot easier....  MU can't help this either :D

Pushing? Pushing with viking is as like smashing with a tank trough wooden houses,it rocks,it has great power and pushing very good :D

So overall it's ugly,slow,not much HP(except for MU),too stable and the place of the turret sucks.... But pushing is really good :D

don't hate me bcuz of my opinion about viking XD

Haha,no way,never liked it,never will,never bought it,I will buy it probably (as my last tank) bcuz it's a Viking jk....

Have both :/ No need of choosing, just picked both. They are from different type hulls. Hornet - light, Viking - Medium. So, all I need now is to get heavy hull. I have Titan m0, so I think I need Mammoth which is m2 in my garage. Mammoth m3 is not in my rank, so I'll wait til Generalissmo.

Yes - one tank is not enough.

VIking is like standing in place, in compare with hornet.

Different use.

 

Depends of game style.

 

Fast ambush behind enemy lines - hahahah - not on viking.

If You like chees, or, positional war, viking is great.

Less skils - more armor, time to think.

 

On hornet - fast fight and no secound chance :)

if he got more power armor - it could be a deadly machine 2theMax

i think it was the best hull in the game the only diadvantage is that it is kind of slow compared to hornet but i still will choose viking :wub: :) ;) ^_^

You might have just started a war.

 

1: Too stable? What the hack man, no such thing as too much stability. You may need some more skills to make it lean over the edge but I manage it fine with Thunder so you should have no problem.

 

2: HP is a pretty dumb thing to complain about with Viking. When fully MU'd it has more than Dictator and even without MU's it has very high health for it's relative cheapness and early unlock.

 

3: Looks is personal preferance, but I think it looks pretty cool and if think it looks like pancakes I don't know what you do to your pancakes...

 

4: Place of turret barely has relevance... people don't engage in polite sniper duels, they just charge at you and drug or whatever. In some instances I suppose it could give you a small disadvatage, but often bad ping or VIking's strength in other areas of gameplay will nullify this.

 

5: I agree with you on the pushing. ;)

 

Yeah I have it with M1 and I still dominate with M2 Thunder and I only really get killed a lot by druggers. And if you want speed use Hornet dammit :).
