SANDSTONE good rail and thunder with up to 8% twins. Buy Dragon for the occasional Rico infested battle.if twins really bothers you and Sandstone doesn't give you enough protection get the twins only paint... I forget what that one is called but I am considering it and a firebird only paint. twins and Firebird rule the world since the early July 2015 rebalance

strawwitz paints protect you from a certain percentage of a weapons damage, they do not increase your hulls armour at all.

example weapon with 100 damage wearing 10% paint for that turret makes it deal 90 damage to your hull.

Even before the "rebalance", I found that given the amount of $$ spent on paints, and ESPECIALLY the MU's, 

THEY ARE NOT WORTH THE $$.  

Micro upgrading paints is a colossal waste of money for what you get in return.

I bought Spark then wasted some $$ in MU's... so far, I spent over $50 Canadian for DIDDLY SQUAT

(the exchange rates really add up: for every $20 I spend, the exchange rates add $8+).

My protection with Spark is now 20+1/Firebird, 15/Twins, 38+1/Rico,

and yet, Firebird STILL fries me long before I even come close to killing them.

NOT good value for the $$ spent.

On my opinion, Zeus, Picasso and iforgotname-paint is worth MUing. (highest protection against Ricochet)

I've been looking at paints and I'm really busting my head over a good one because lets just say u dont buy too many paint... So I've been looking at something that is well protected against a regular medium/large map while being able to bp since im planning to buy m3 bp asap. And wasp will be my primary hull

I like forester so much so I fully MUed forester, which has 15% prot on rail and with wasp m1 upgraded till prot 106, I always survive rail m1 shots and even rarely survive doubled rail m0 shots. It is so great because they fall in panic and I always finish them with my MUed rail m1.

The July revalance made fire OP and IMO completely scrambled the paint landscape. Lots of folks with expensive and MU'd paints suddenly find themselves vulnerable to the now rampant Firebird.

 

Like MANY others, I bought the cheap Marine, but that paint is just not effective against the newly buffed fire.

 

You know what is the best paint against Firebird? A MINE. The flames and the hiss of Firebird means they can neither hear nor see you put down the mine. Pop goes the weasel! ;)

If you narrowed it down to those two: Digital

 

Digital because you better have protection against enemy Railers and it 's good to have some

protection against Smoky.

(Shaft protection is minimal so Tundra might be (I think it is) a better/wiser investment, watch this

Spark 's Rico protection is great but if a Rico has your combo in it 's reach, your

chances of survival are slim anyway.

Not a good paint for a Railer IMO.
