After a great round of Lucky 7, the victors are Clan ‘Shield of Fire’. Congratulations! Many clans were able to either renew themselves or some started a clan just for this competition. Here, three clan leaders who participated in the tournament was interviewed. Let’s take a look at what each of them had to offer.

Slifer

Clan 'The Sheild of Fire'

What are you thoughts on this new tournament? Are you also liking the prize of this tournament? The paint looks amazing and the protection seems quite reasonable.

I think the tournament started off very well, with some unreasonable rules. The paint is beautiful but I think 15% is relatively bad, all the Russians paint protect minimum 20% or 30% so 15 for me is not enough. It looks amazing, yes.  :)

Was your clan created just for this tournament?

Yes we created it on the last day. We are a group, we always play together and for this tournament, we've decided to create the clan.

What do you think put your clan above the rest to win this tournament? What advice can you give to a new clan wanting to do well in Lucky 7?

To other clans, all I can say is that they should just play together, do some takeovers and learn how your partners play and with what combos (gun/hull) he's comfortable with. Strategy for this tournament is not necessary, you have just to know how your partners play.

If you could make any changes to this tournament, what would you change?

I'd like to change some members, so a change in the list would be preferable. We have 2 or 3 inactive players and many others who don’t have a good garage. We've played this tournament without knowing what all the members have in their garage.

Any last remarks you would like to make?

All the clan leaders want change one rule, its "if two clans or more  have 6 victories, the clan who will post the pic for first will win". We won the first edition of the tournament for this rule, but it's so unfair. We'd like to have a play-off, and the best clan will win.  :)

Thanks for your time Slifer and I wish you all the best in the next round!

Clan 'Reaper Crew'

Your clan has done remarkable well in this Lucky 7 round winning all of the matches, what has prepared you and your clan for this kind of tournament?

I think the key to success is to be able to listen to each other and train, we all in RC are 16 or 17 years old in top 6 and guys listen to my orders and sometimes I must shout at them, but it helps, and we have training every day.

What do you think would be one of the biggest challenges a clan would have to overcome to do well in this tournament?

I think this season is gonna be more harder than previously one - stronger clans will face Reaper Crew. That's one of the biggest challenges because we have never beaten TTM, DD or GCC in official wars... If we beat some of those three clans then we can dream about the paint.

What preparations are you likely take to move up the spot and become first place in the next round?

I must make new tactics, so I need to make some changes and try tactics on battle field with German clans or with my own guys.

What was your clan’s general goal coming into this tournament, if you have one?

Our goal was modest... I wanted to get 3-4 wins, but after 4 wins, we were fighting for Lucky 7 paint, because we had normal enemies that we could beat...

Thanks for your time, good luck in achieving your goals!

SuperNick95

Organizer of Lucky 7

Being an organizer of the Lucky 7, what were the goals when it first started? How was it supposed to differentiate with the ones of CSL?

Well the first and most important thing is that we had a paint as a prize. This has never happened before in the English community, and we are glad that we finally managed to do it.

You know, tournaments are not drug wars that you can play every day in every server, or battles (unfortunately) with mults, tournaments are battles where the main point is to show your own skills and result in being the best thanks to them. So we think a special paint is the right prize for a couple of skilled players, who proved themselves to be strong enough to get it.

I've seen quite a few rule breakers that have penalized some of the clans in the matches we've seen, are the rules going to change in the future, or are the consequences to be harsher to ensure no rules will be broken?

Yes the rules are about to change. Unfortunately we can't stop the players from breaking the rules, the most important thing is that they know that if they do it, especially voluntarily, there will be consequences. So yes we had to give penalties who teams who tried to obtain an unfair advantage in the battle or tried to disturb it.

However we collected the suggestions from the team leaders during this first season and we'll use them to improve the rules before the second season starts. It was the first time we've ever had this tournament, so I'd say it's obvious that there is something to change... We just tried the beta version.

When will the next season be? Many are wanting to join in on the tournament. Will there be more space allowed for clans to enter?

We don't know. Right now Bruce is away and busy with real life, so we'll tell you as soon as we know. Yes, the last 5 clans will be kicked out and 5 new clans from the waiting list will be able to join the tournament.

That's about it, thank you for your time. The English Community looks forward to the next season!

--------------------------------------------------

We don't know what's in store for next season, but we know it's to come with lots of changes for the better! Thanks for your suggestions and opinions of those interviewed, we are listening to them. Being said, it is the first time that we have a special paint for a tournament in the English Community, so this is one tournament you cannot miss out on. Without Bruce, the Lucky 7 may be quite a struggle in the future, but the community hopes the next one will be as enjoyable as the previous one.  Best of luck to Semyon taking over, whom we know will do an amazing job in the next month. Stay tuned to find out when and what the next Lucky 7 will bring to the clans.
