At what rank do I need a M2 combo?

I know there isn't a definite rank that says when you need a certain turret modification, but I would like to know when I should be getting a M2 turret and hull. I know it is best to get one as soon as possible, and they unlock at different ranks. For example, for M1's, they can be unlocked as early as Sergeant Major and as late as WO4, but it is probably best to get one at around WO1. In other words, up to what rank is it acceptable to use a M1 combo before other players say "look at that noob, he is still using a M1 weapon!" ?

Usually at Captain you need a M2  combo, to keep up with other's. You shouldn't worry about that at your rank.

I saw a Brigadier using Mammoth M2 and Smoky M1 along with Acid paint. Or maybe it was Emerald. But I think it was Acid.

 

He scored 2nd on his team. :huh:  He drugged, but the majority of his team were drugging too. :mellow:

Captain-Major rank most likely. But if you're waiting for something like Twins then Lieutenant-Major. I think anything past Lieutenant-Major, you're going to need M2+. Any M1's will suck by then. That's why I'm dead-set on an M2 Weapon. I've no M2 yet. :( You're doing better than me! :lol:

Remember, the only reason your garage is above average is because you get like 100k for being a Reporter; I really wouldn't rub it in other people's faces.

Lol even i (@robbie56) use a m2-m1 combo most of the time. The weapons i use the most now are m1 :P

I hate lieutenant colonels trouncing about battlefields equipped with their m1/m1 smoky wasp, it just frustrates me most of the time as they get killed so easily  :angry:

 

At Lieutenant Colonel, M2 combos are needed. But M2/M1 are good for Third Lieutenant to Major.

You should really have an m2/m2 combo at major. Sorry about this firingsniper but it's just how it is as most people get m2 mammoth at that rank and most other people by that rank have m2 hornet

What if he doesn't want those hulls; what if he wants something that requires Colonel rank? Having a M2/M2 combo by Major isn't an official expectation either. And even so, it doesn't give Raphael the right to diss his garage.

Now I got my first M2 though. Mammoth! :lol:  Just wait for sales. I'm sure you're very familiar with M1 Weapons. Just keep using those until a 50% discount arrives or something. . . .I'm pretty sure there will be one more Weapons sale.

If you want to stay above people when you play, then those are the ideal ranks...

What if people don't want those hulls/turrets? You've got to take that into account.

I'd expect M2 combos by the Colonel rank where everything M2 is accessible.

You can get your combo m2 as soon as you reach the rank for it, atleast if you don't spend your crystals on other crap like 10 paints or a lot of different combo's, if you stick with the same combo you can get it m1/m2/m3 at the rank it unlocks.

So really i would say if you are a good player u only really need it later on when u are like Colonel. (2 ranks above me) Just focus on winning now and the m2's will find you!
