Just PM me with some samples of your best work, or post them on this topic.

Always.

What are the requirements of being a designer?

I'm not a pro photoshop user, but I can do decent editing and stuff. I wanted to know the basic requirements before applying.

I'm talking about designer post. This one - http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=366194&attempt=1

I was not talking about creativity league application. The CL deserves a lot better artists than I am. I can just be an employee at the designers group to do some basic artistic work and try to improve even more with the help of pros like you, Guard, etc. The link in that topic led me to the "History post" of this topic, that is why I asked you here.

Fixed the link issue. The Designers group is part of the Creative League, the best of the Creative League join the team. While those who don't have the quality high enough yet remain as fan artists or candidates within the league.

Add a shadow under the tank, it looks like you cut one picture out and just pasted it onto the other.

the black part behind is the shadow..I think it's the high opacity which is making things worse

It looks more like an outline. Look at where the light comes from in the background image and draw the shadow accordingly. I don't think this is the best background photo use, because of the depth of field. It's hard to pin down where exactly the focus is, but the tank isn't in that spot, so it looks off.

I assume the pic wud look good without shadows

Its true that ur shadow looks like outline, dont use Drop Shadow feature

Try adding shadows from brushes, not a professional editor but try this...

I tried it, but it doesn't look good man

I tried it, but it doesn't look good man

-make new layer

-take brush and chose black as color (ofc xD)

-brush parts of the image where shadow is necessary

-Use Blending options to make it look digital... (Soft Light, Overlay)

-adjust opacity

Dude I am not that big noob. I know how to use the tools. I tried them but it looked dirty. Nvm, this topic is for pics and not random discussion. Thanks for your advice anyway :)

Feedback please.

Rated 8/10.

Good shadows and nice effects.

Too Blur, could've made it a bit more clear and maybe you should've worked on lighting.

Plus I guess you could've chosen a better paint :P XD
