i wonder how can a former staff member does not know these basic information.

And I wonder how staff members are incapable of producing a counter-argument to the posts they voted down, assuming it wasn't because they were simply too proud to accept criticism.

I don't want to be ridiculing anyone. I only am stating my opinions. I agree that the staff should speak up, at least in this topic. However, it can sometimes be challenging to put opinions into words. So, with a little patience on your part, I'm sure that the people who down-voted some posts will take the time *cough* *cough* to explain their actions. Still, I don't think that we should be forced to give reasons for everything we do, especially when they are quite obvious.

Making a crappy joke isn't really stating your opinion. It wasn't funny and you obviously intended to do something along the lines of ridiculing me since you've made it clear you can't keep up with the serious discussion. And I'd rather you didn't speak for all the staff like you know what they're gonna do because you don't, jok - you really don't and you need to understand that. Sure, it's possible that some staff members will give in and elaborate on why they disagree with our feedback. 

 

I don't see why we don't deserve to know why they've done something, especially if it's got a negative impact on us. And for god's sake, use some initiative - if it were obvious, the duration of us would know why.

Opinions can be stated in various ways. As to what I said--of course I don't know what the rest of the staff will do, but I think you know what I meant. 

 

Probably I'm wrong, and maybe it's not obvious. It's not best to say things that one isn't sure of, so I won't say what I thought.

Staff is doing good job. Reporters write interesting articles and Forum Moderators close pointless topics.

It may not be obvious, but why would somebody vote something down unless they disagreed with it? And what could be their reason for disagreeing? 

 

 

While I acknowledge opinions can be stated in various ways, that joke completely ruined your point there. At the same time, it broke the thread etiquette. In a serious discussion with such a situation, it's better you don't make that sort of joke. And I guess I do understand what you mean but it was rash to quickly assume they'd do such a thing hence why I pointed it out. No one's talking about the fact they disagreed with it, but what the dislike doesn't make clear is why they disagreed with it and that's what we want to know.

I only actually see Yele and EVISITORS post on threads and stuff but judging by the activity of the rest, I know for a fact the rest do stuff behind the scenes.

I'd like to point out once again that this topic is made to collect feedback on staff and thoughts how their work can be improved, not to discuss votes and downvotes by staff or players. Actually there are flaws on both sides. Perhaps staff members don't need to downvote some posts, but it's their choice and people are free to vote posts up or down in this forum. On the other hand players need to understand that members of staff are not Tanki employees. These are basically guys like you who love the game so much that spend loads of their time here for crystals, they don't get paid. So some respect should be shown to them. And yes, there are some issues that we'll try to correct, but imagine this forum and the game without moderators and consultants. This would be a nightmare, for everyone.

 

PS Please stay on topic if you want the thread to stay open (well, this is what I want personally, hope you all agree).

It's not the downvoting itself, I'd like to add - it's just the fact they're not elaborating on why they did it. While them disliking the post makes it clear they disagree with what we're saying and while they're not obliged to explain, it makes them look better if they explain why they disagree.

 

It's not too much to ask.

It does and I heard you. You could have just said "staff are downvoting our posts and it is unprofessional" and I would understand you, there was no need to argue for 3 pages, it didn't help anyone, and this is not the point of this thread.

Which joke exactly? As to the reason they disagreed: if you disagreed with that post, what would your reason be? Maybe that's theirs. Also, as Semyon says, we should probably stay on topic and not flood with our argument.

And I'm not staff - how can you expect me to already have reasons as to why I'd disagree? And I think that even if I were staff, I'd still have the same mindset as I do now, to be honest.

If I had to guess, they're probably gonna bring up the EULA and how you agreed to join the game with these rules and whatever and how we're over-exaggerating about what we've said and whatnot. Something along the lines of that - that's my guess.

Either way, I'm not going to assume they're saying stuff along the lines of that because it may very well not be true.

I'm going to keep on replying as long as he does. I feel, barring the whole joke thing, the debate (Jok and I aren't arguing, don't get it twisted) is actually pretty relevant. 

 

Overall, as long as he brings up the whole joke thing, I'll respond to it.

Thank you for your feedback. We try our best to improve with every issue, and I think that we have. Some articles may seem boring to you, but that's why we try to have plenty of selection! We recently hired some new reporters, and it is great to see the enthusiasm with which they are working. :)

Your reply to this comment is exactly the way this thread should work.  e7sas5 gave his opinion and jokjinari responded appropriately taking the time to explain his point of view. For all involved in this thread this is a great example of how WE should be acting. A critical but polite post and a polite post back. Good job

It seems as though he's implying my posts normally don't make sense. However, it's just the fact he refuses to think about what I'm actually saying hence why it seems nonsensical in his yes. Ignorance.
