Chat: Voice to Text translation

I think that there should be voice to text translation so that you can talk into your microphone, and it translates it into text in the chat box.  If you approve of the translation press enter and it sends it.  This way moderators could still monitor the words people use and people would be saying annoying things in your ears, but you wouldn't have to stop driving to chat.

 

What do you guys think?

you speak via microphone that will translate in word if its ok that word you want you will approve

Well I find chat (at least at my rank) not used much.  Since you have to driving stop to chat, people can't use chat very much.  If you could just talk and your words would be made into text, then chat would be more usable.  Before your message was sent you could preview it, and while your driving you could press enter to confirm it and send it.

Idea is not bad

 

if it will be inbuilt software then not possible. because it should create more lag

but if we can do it by third party software & that portion will related with chat ( it will create in computer & paste in chat box automatically ) then may it will happen 

but there is so many problem

^ your room should noise proof

^ you should have good quality microphone

^ so many problem car aeries

As a former translator and interpreter, I assure you that currently there is no software that can translate voice to text effectively. The idea itself is great, not only for us but for any other game, but for now technologies simply haven't reached the point where it can be implemented.

I think that there wouldn't be enough mods to police all the chats for foul lingo and other such insults. I like the idea though, I think it would be really neat. But if you are in a battle where all the other players do not speak English or which ever tongue your most fluent in, what do you do? You cannot communicate with them unless you use a translator or understand a bit of what they are saying already. I guess you could always just..not talk.  :mellow:

Chances are, the software would interpret a bad word when you didn't say it and gets you banned
