IP Banning

There are quite a few flyhackers/scammers however, to actually clamp down on this, you need to IP ban them as many do it on an account they just made, why isn't this implemented? I'm sure they would think twice before doing so...

also IPs can be changed in a matter of minutes

Just reset your modem, and your address will be different

I never knew that but thanks for telling me I'll keep that in mind for the future ;) # evil laugh

Yeah, it's impossible to implent this; since there can be more people playing on the same computer.

Having an IP ban implented would be unfair for those people... unwanted frustration etc.

If you record fly hackers or scammers, and send them either in the violators section, or directly to a chat mod;

Those guys will recieve a month ban, and will be reported to the tech support for a BLOCK.

No, just give im a block for doing this, because a family who plays the littlest or the biggest kid gets banned, now the fam is banned..............................................................................................

No, the modems IP is supplied by the Internet service Provider.

The routers is generally the same. It may change which IP is assigned to what computer but it is the same set of IPs

For example-

Router IP 198.168.1.1

Device 1: 192.168.1.100

Device 2: 192.16.1.101

The IP address of the router can change, but the one that goes with the PC does not.

There's actually hardware numbers specific to certain computers that can be accessed through software, like for the motherboard, perhaps this could be used. I've seen this successfully implemented to block computers in games before, and most 10-year-old cheat engine users or scammers just aren't going to know how to get around this as it's likely more difficult than spoofing your IP is.

That's called a MAC address, but it still doesn't help. Many families use one or two home computers to browse the web.
