funny upgrade perameters get discount on next m 2 or m3

it says fully upgrade parameters to get discount on m2 , does that mean I have to fully upgrade all the parameters or just some of them there are a few eg turning speed , protection , weight , power if I upgrade one or 2 of these fully will I still get a discount or do they all need fully upgrading ?

if you upgrade one parameter you will get a discount on the next modification upgrade.

For instance if you upgrade all 25 steps of speed on a hull, you will get a small discount.

Fully upgrading a second parameter will increase the discount.

^ So If I fully upgrade thunder's damage, When I upgrade it to M1, will I get a discount on damage (Micro-upgrades) ?

No, if you fully upgrade thunder's damage, when you upgrade to M1 you will have a discount on that M1.

 

So if thunder M1 costs 38600 crystals, with a fully upgraded parameter like damage it will cost a little less, say 34000 crystals. When upgraded to M1 all MUs will be reset.

Should I just focus on one turret  and hull (Freeze M2 and Titan). and just keep upgrading them over time and then it would be easier for me to upgrade freeze to M3 and Titan to M2 when I unlock them ?
