tanki has answered me pretty quickly, but asked me some questions. i answered their qeustions, but it's been almost 9 hours and still no reply, why?

9 hours - give Tanki Help a chance - Sunday + Christmas back log etc.  Don't reply again, u will go 2 the end of the queue - thats the system. If your answers check out ok and confirm u as the owner of the account, your problem will be sorted - if its possible 2 sort. :)

Well, the only thing you can do is twiddle your thumbs and wait..... and a thousand years later when you're @already.dead, they reply.

Because they get thousands of emails per day, you can't expect immediate answer. And a forum topic won't speed them up in any way, just wait a bit.
