if an apocalyptic event where to happen..|||

I wouldn't see the point of saving anything, an apocalyptic event would have no possibility of us saving anything. If, however, it was not a true apocalyptic event and there actually was the chance of saving things, then I would probably save a few books, a few clothes, and as many people as I could (I wouldn't save my computer/tablet/phone as internet/signal/etc will no longer work). I would not help sloths in any way - in fact, if given the opportunity, I would kill them personally.

Albeit the sloth is physically slower than a snail, it is smarter than a raccoon. And whereas sloths eat mostly plants as a part of their normal diet, and raccoons will only do so as a last resort. I feel it only necessary to start befriending the elusive sloth now, before an apocalyptic event occurs. “Why? You may ask?” Although the answer to such a question is quite simple, yet complex in nature. It is the complexity of that nature, which creates a somewhat perfect balance in the environmental ecosystem we all depend upon. An ecosystem that is and of itself dependent upon all living creatures of this little blue spinning ball we call home. As for the snail? Snails have been around as far back as recorded time can recall. Therefore, it is only logical to acknowledge the humbling fact that they are the true survivors of many things we have long since taken for granted in the ado of this new age. Even though sloth may eat an occasional insect (during meager times), it will not eat snail. Not because they taste bad, or might be cute looking (in their own way), but because even though we may think of the sloth as a slow lumbering, smelly, vision impaired, hairy whatever, shimmying along small treetop branches that can hardly bear its weight. It is actually reliant upon the slime trail left by the snail, to find it’s much deserved reward of cecropia leaves. The real question here would not be “why?”, yet rather, “Is the snail trying to tell us something?" And if so, how can we use that silent avow to avert if not fortify against such a catastrophe in the first place? A more concise answer to your question: Farm the sloths, save the women, follow the snails.

P.S. "I don't understand why it never caught on...Bad location, I guess?"
