Should schools offer cash bonuses for good test scores?

Offering cash bonus to encourage students to work hard or show more interest. In that case no. This is because students will try to study not to gain knowledge but will only study to get the cash bonus. This type of mind set can be bad for children. We still see similar mind set when it comes to grades/marks. What i have seen is that students study just to get an 'A' doesn't matter if he/she is learning anything useful.

Erm... no...

Let's remind ourselves that many of us are privileged enough to have access to a good education system, and that education is both a right and a privilege.

Of course not, the School is doing you a favor (or service) by educating you and assessing your knowledge to insure your progress. Why would they pay you on top of that?

the schools get paid for doing us a "favor"  -_-

nope i work hard for my money, I have no trouble paying out for education, NHS etc even though I don't use any of these things and pay more tax then alot of people, but I would not be happy with my tax money paying for children to get good results.

Children do get rewards for good results (i.e the feeling of achievement & gained knowledge) the rewards for good results will last you a life time, from helping you get into higher education to getting a good job.
