Do you feel safe using your main Account in the Forum

You must see the difference between opinion and fact. You stated that as a fact. It makes people feel unsave here, something we try to avoid. You might as well try to look the other way. If you tell people such things, they feel unsafe here, which ruins the fun. Freedom of speech and forum rules are not complying. I don't know about Canada, but in Holland we have constitutional law, which forbids discrimination, racism etc. On the other hand, we have a law for "freedom of speech". These 2 collide with each other. The same happens here, there is freedom of speech, but limited of course (sounds odd, but if you understand my examply, you get what I am saying.

Opinion- a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge (Google definition)

Fact- a thing that is indisputably the case (Google definition)

 

Okay so i speak my opinion...i get ban for it. i clearly state at bottom It is an opinion.

Now to get back to freedom of speech..... Canada does have limits to freedom of speech which are way better than these forums sort of sounds like Hollands but not 100% the same.

Sort of sounds like Tanki is the USA at this time and I am Martin Luther King Jr. right now. (No way i can compare to him) All that I am hoping for in this community is for more freedom of speech so that everyone can work together better and put their minds together.  I too have a Dream that all people in Tanki will treat all of us as normal human beings. That we will not be judged by the way we talk but by the way we act. If we act racist towards one that yes give us a ban, if we discriminate against one than give us a ban, if we are harassing someone than give us a ban but by giving an opinion of what you see, talking the way you normally due and getting ban for it. Where is the freedom here.  I will tell you where, NO Where On This Forum Or Game

I am not afraid to speak my mind here but since Tanki clearly doesn't allow freedom of speech everyone is afraid to speak their true mind. I wonder why i get ban on so many occasions

I always use my main in the forum, if you don't feel safe then you're doing something to not feel safe, as long as you follow the rules what's the problem?

Why are the forum chat and lobby chat directly linked. If you are banned on forum why are you punished in game??

 

A technical limitation. Due to the same reason forum moderators can't ban people, only chat mods can.

Perhaps, with time we'll get around this issue and people's karma will be separate in the forum and in the chat.

It will require a significant rethink of the whole architecture behind the game, but it may happen in future.

I think one problem is this.

Sometimes staff say things in the capacity of a staff member and players have to exercise restraint in how they respond as they are not allowed to publicly discuss what that staff member has said. That said, staff should be extremely careful as not to bait players into getting a ban, intentionally or not. When staff contribute to a topic, they should ask themselves, is what I'm writing provocative in anyway? If the answer is even the slightest of maybe's then they should not write it or rephrase it. Restraint is a two-way street.  I'm not saying this type of thing is the norm but I'd guess there are lots of players who have had a ban this way.

I agree with this all too much... Freedom of speech here is lacking greatly.

> if some mod ban you for particular reason in chat / forum they should attach a screen shot of improper line / word / image & maintion the rules of  baning , ( so many time players are not aware what they did for got a ban )

No it isn't. Most of the time people don't know what they got banned for. His idea is that you can SEE without having to ask anyone what you got banned for...

Edit: do you know the average bans per mod per day? Mods would be busy all the time with PM'ing people. IF this would be implemented, it would go automatically to somewhere in your profile in forum or in-game.

Not at all, the rules are simple and logical, you can even stay with a clear account if you did not read the rules, but just act logically and friendly, of course reading the rules is extremly important, but you don't need to "Memorize" them, this is a game not a class,just understand the rules and post logically.

Think before you post, remember there are humans also on the other side of the world typing to you on the forum, they have feelings and they get insulted, this is absolutely NOT what this site is made for, it's made for friendly gameplay, great time and meeting new friends!

Am sorry to tell you that moderators are not obliged to explain their actions to players, if a mod closes/removes/hides anything, he thinks it's right, now this doesn't mean that if you don't like it you can't do anything, that's not logical, yes you can, simply by sending a personal message to the moderators' administrator explaining your complaint, and why you think the action that has been done by a moderator is incorrect, i'm sure that i do not need to tell you that when you write the message you should do it in a polite and a formal manner :)

I hope you did read the sentence where Semyon Kirov said that bans are done by chat moderators, not forum moderators, however, we would like a forum clean of trolling/flaming/flood those words could lead to such arguments that may cause uncomfortable environment for the forum users, now this is not the place to discuss your ban, remember you can not do that publicly! 

You may send a message to @Yele and complain about your ban of course. 

 

Also, we are here to make the forum a better place, trolling,flooding,flaming,insults and things that break the Game-Rules will not be tolerated.

I mainly use this account on the forum, I'm not scared to use it either. However, I do consider what I write before I post anything just to be sure I didn't break any rules. Most rules are plain and simple, but some are open to a little interpretation. And that is, I think, why some feel 'scared' to write what they want on their main account.

Why call it an issue that players' karma is not separated? Aren't the chat and the forum all part of the same game? Same rules apply for the both of them. Break a rule in tanki online and get a ban in tanki online. I'd say it is part of the punishment that you can't talk in chat if you are banned on the forum and the other way around. Giving forum moderators the ability to ban: yes. Separating karma: no.

What is my fault if they add bans for no reason?

 

If a player asks for his karma, mods MUST give it to him with proofs, the player can then report about unfair bans very easily.

 

Semyon, could I report to you about these bans? Because, in my opinion, yele and eddy are very useless.

no,i feel horrible,if i come with my gismo account,almost surely i will receive some bann more easily than others because i received some month bann in the past(like 5 month bann i guess),for tiny things

1) You can ask for your karma from a chat mod

2) If you get banned, and then unbanned because the ban wasn't right, a note gets added to your karma showing the ban was not accurate, or shortened, thus you don't need to worry about it.
