Moving to a new data center

Most likely Asians players will get faster ping too as the new data center will be closer to a big exchange point.

Geographical position is not that important here. I can be in Russia and visit a Russian site, but my internet provider can transmit all the data through a European exchange point (Russia-Europe-Russia) as it often costs less.

Let's wait and see, it won't get worse any way.

Well, really happy with the choosen location! I was already hoping for it!

(ok, I live in the Netherlands myself and it 's nice to see the other Dutchy 's here being happy too.... ;) )

But believe me I have a lot of faith that it will really be an improvement for the whole Tanki community.

The Netherlands are rapidly becoming a main-hub for data.

Main reason (taken out of this article : http://www.nfia.nl/nl_news/685/The-Netherlands-is-emerging-as-a-data-center-country.html)

"The superior infrastructure. The Netherlands is one of the most densely cabled countries in the world.

The more than seventy carriers connected to the AMS-IX ensure reliable and fast connections within

the Netherlands, and to the rest of the world."

There are already many huge data centers located in Holland and great players like Microsoft and Apple

are planning huge data centers in Holland. To put it simply: very big players that demand reliability! Just Google for it.

So welcome to our country (and NO: we don 't wear wooden shoes anymore!  )

and I hope our country will make good "connections"!
