Yes, it is fair. The rules of chat say that insults and reference to inappropriate terms are subject to be punishable by ban. Don't break the rules, and you won't get banned. ;)

And besides, the moderators are people too. There are certain sets of strict rules that they have to follow, and they cannot make exceptions, even for friends. You only got banned for a week because you have done that offense before, from 5 minute ban, to 1 hour, to a day, then to a week. Your karma (ban history) is taken into consideration when you commit an offense. The more you have comitted that offense, the longer you get banned the next time you do it.

Well this guy says that the other guy said the exact same thing that he did, but more times and worse. And the other person was being a troll too and he didn't get banned while this guy, a person who was trying to get a mod's attention to ban the troll gets banned for saying something that is apparently an insult. I find that to be insulting to the justice system of tanki.

But seriously, a week!?

Unfortunately you aren't the one deciding ban durations.

Is there any way to check log records? Just to like confirm what I said?

Yes, write to

And is there some way to figure out who banned me?

For you, no.

Do you even train your mods before you let dem loose into the world? Maybe you should have a system .-. Like warn people first then do a small ban and if they come back then heck ya! Ban them for a week. But not right away...

Yes, they get trained.

As for punishments, as I already said, you are not the one who decides them. There are standards set by the developers about ban durations and reasons, and taking into account your ban history aswell. With clean ban history and a minor violation, you're likely to get a warning, but major, repeated violation results in bigger bans.

When you ban people right away for an extended period of time it can make them frustrated.

It also makes us frustrated when players register, click on "I have read and agreed to the game rules" (while actually they didn't read anything), then come to the forum or chat, break those rules, and then start complaining :)

Public discussion about moderators' work is forbidden [rules], if you have complaints, write to
