Several miners are reported to have been killed after an explosion and a fire at a coal mine in western Turkey.

Up to 300 other workers are believed to be trapped underground at the mine in Soma, Manisa province. At least 238 people were killed in the pit collapse, but about 120 are still unaccounted for.

Those trapped are about 2km (1.2 miles) below the surface and 4km from the mine's exit.

It is absolutely sad to hear/read this news, unfortunately some kind of jobs are the less paid but most dangerous ones, done in unsafe conditions.

 

I seriously hope that many workes will be saved as soon as possible, while for those that unfortunayely already passed away I can only say: "R.I.P.".

 

I'm actually going to search as many informations I can, for now, in Italy, there are no news about this, please keep us informed.
