Most games are dominated by males, because, let's admit it, not a lot of girls are into violent machine MMOs, or games in general, for that matter.

 

Having that cleared out, it stands to reason that whenever a girl plays a game and is unfortunate enough to share that she is a girl, she soon gets flooded with requests to "hang out" with all sorts of more or less forever alone gamers.

 

The "gamer girl" stereotype is one of those phenomena in the internet realm that has grown out of all reasonable boundaries to the point where its just ridiculous and girls actually consider hiding their gender in order to avoid being stalked by internet admirers.

 

Hence, girls get more views on their profiles here because "omg a girl", rather than guys who make up 95% of the community.
