Players and their Hobbies (Updated August 29)

Hello everyone!

 

Most of you have seen the Developers and Their Hobbies by now. I've decided to start a topic where I'll share the hobbies of a certain player each week.

 

After an extended period of silence called summer, we once again bring you the Players and their Hobbies!

 

This week is on a very interested character. You probably know him from his sardonic (not really) smiles that he uses as his Facebook signatures, or possibly his Godmode_ON imitation he does when he's in a bad mood. Whatever it may be, you should know him. If not, then it's time you met @unholycloak5.

 

While some of our last members of this topic were mental masters of their talents, Cloaky (as he likes to be called) prefers to be out and doing hardcore activities. His hobbies are parkour and freerunning. If you don't know what those are, in a nutshell they're running, flipping, and jumping over stuff. Ever since he watched the show "American Ninja Warrior" (good show btw), he has aspired to trick like the best of them. His first attempt at this arduous sport resulted in him lying on his back on the floor in his backyard! However since then, he's made remarkable improvements and has enjoyed participating in this sport for about a year now. He recalls the time he attempted to impress his friends by jumping across a bar at school and ended up hitting the principle. As he so profoundly put it, 'eeee, i go run and eat cookie in the corner while in detention."

 

While you may think he is nothing but another guy jumping (and falling from) rooftops, Cloaky also confesses to have another talent. He apparently is a level 7B (my own creation) pen tapper. This art he enjoys doing at school with his friends in their free time, and appears to be quite good at it.

 

Cloaky works in Tanki Online as a Facebook Moderator (in case you didn't guess), and is always here to help you when you need it. So if you have a dumb question, don't bother a consultant like me; just send it to him on the TO Facebook page xD

June 30^th:

 

Since today is Monday and everyone is busy collecting crystals during the double fund event, we might as well keep today's topic short. Our hobbyist of the day has more pursuits than most of us possess pro passes (seeing as there is only one that shouldn't be that hard). He's the leader of the clan "Black Armor" (or Armour if you're UKish), an avid athlete, a skilled technician, and a diligent scholar. @GoldRock enjoys hitting the pool and the ping pong tables, banging out a hearty rendition of "Let It Go" (I think) on the piano, and enjoying a quiet evening writing, programing, and working towards Maths Olympiads (no clue what they are but it's probably like an Olympic event for scholars). Goldrock is an accomplished student, studying religion and philosophy, and is more than willing to debate with you over any topic (besides Semyon's vodka inclination). All in all, Gold is like the marine of hobbies, ready to take you on in any physical, technical, or mental challenge.

 

June 25^th:

 

Today's topic is going to be about a real soldier of a player, @blackopspaul. True to his name, he only picks the most hardcore of sports to claim as his hobby. He practices boxing for two hours three times a week, training to fight as well as conditioning himself to the pinnacle of physical perfection by jogging and skipping as well as extensive strength training. When he was twelve, he beat his opponent 1/2 and chalked up another win while setting the record for his best fight.

Since we've just started rolling with this new idea, why not release another article?

 

Today's story is on one of our former staff members, who managed master the art of music while still helping to work the strenuous task of cleaning our community. @SpreadLoveNotHate (formerly loktinho) has played the saxophone for about around six year now and continues to hone his skills. He has played individually, but now plays with a band (who's name we do not know). This year, he purchased his own saxophone to increase his ability to play:

 

 

His favorite quote comes from, of all places, a Chinese fortune cookie: "Don't spend your time stringing and tuning your instrument. Start making music now!"

 

His advice to aspiring musicians is: "Individuals have to put in effort to make their part of the performance decent, but it is the group effort that makes the performance spectacular."
