Archduke Franz Ferdinand Assasination

 Share

Recommended Posts

Before 100 years, on 1914.06.28 (28 June), Gavrilo Princip assasinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand. Princip and his accomplices were arrested and implicated by serveral members of the Serbian military, leading Austria-Hungary to issue a demarche to Serbia known as the July Ultimatum. This was used as pretext for Austria-Hungary's invasion of Serbia, which then led to World War I.

I deeply apologize but I do not know about this incident. Therefore, I won't be able to contribute to this discussion, but I will surely take a look into it.

About the point that is connected to world war 1... there wasn't one reason that caused it, there were many conflicts, but I should not further speak as it is not my field of expertise in world history. That was all I could say.

This is the main cause of the WWI. Basically Austria-Hungary with the help of Germany invaded Serbia, then the Antante signed war to Germany. France was invaded too.
