Clan topics are getting removed

does this mean clan mods go out of a job?

We are unsure but it might not happen because they need to close down clans on star ladder.

To decision-makers, very nice hiding tactics behind those "general....os m..derators" "bul.et sh..lds". So don't take fake noob acc as afraid, its a good hiding tactic. :-)

 

No traces of "removing clans" in russian clan pages. What we are observing is that some of us (not we) are dependent on what Tanki gave us. They change 1 thing, some of us broke. The more they give, the more they control.

 

I know its terrible but Tanki is the house owner and we are tier-2 guests. There is nothing wrong with their actions, their house, their StarLadder with their business game plans and game changing rules. Right from the very start. Until you are "tier-1" enough.

 

Tanki provided clan pages along with moderation services inside Tanki forum for your convenience. Now a bit inconvenience, get hands dirty on another central server with mods for your clan pages and Tanki can do nothing.

 

Be independent and you will be less affected. No pain, no gain.

I don't get why they HAVE to delete clan pages in this forum at all and it makes me furious thinking about it. First of all, I know some of us have a lot of memories in our very own clan pages. It can be how much clan battle we have done in the past, or pictures of our own big battle, or whatever. All of it is going away. Second, why not just keep the clan pages instead of deleting it? We can just use both. Third, this is from what I heard but I don't know if it is true or not. I heard that only 12 people are allowed in one clan. What the heck? What do you expect us to do with the rest of our clan mates? Make alternate clans? This is outrageous!

Removing the clans topics is completely stupid and not necessary. Unless it is in the contract that was signed with SLTV. What are they afraid of? We might have fun on our own. It has been pointed out by several people now that there is no way to advertise our clans, recruit new members as needed, or discuss things with our members, and many other reasons. I can't believe that NICK is saying we don't need them anymore. Great we can create a team on SLTV. What good is that if you can't find anybody on SLTV. There is no search. Unless you know the "clan tag" used.

How and where are new clans supposed to get started? On SLTV ? Explain how. 

As usual Tanki will do what ever best suits them, not the players.  

We can beg all we want . The decision has already been made, and we all know how much Tanki likes to reverse a decision. 

 

I personally will be moving my clan page to the off topic section then. If clans are not official them it will not be breaking any rules.

Star ladder has just launched and it is so hard to get around

It only just launched for us. Problem is, all the other "disciplines" are modelled the same as tanki, so I doubt we will any changes. SLTV thinks they have it all figured out.

Guys, this change was one that was bound to come and necessary. Now please don't bombard me with belligerent comments before you have even seen everything I have to say. With this system we can now effectively judge who the best clan is, rather than having a random number of clans that go untamed and out of control. Using this system each clan can easily be cataloged and ranked. This will also allow the formerly lower ranked clans to claim the glory that had gone undiscovered for all too long (such as fourth and third league). The fact that clan wars will finally be hosted on a server devoted to clans is awesome! Be thankful! Now all clan battles can be more involved in Cybersport than ever before and by a considerable number.

First of all let's clear something up - if clan topics get removed it will be for all 3 communities, not just ours (I don't even know how that could come up to your minds).

Secondly, it's not like we are canceling clans and teamplay, stop being so catastrophic. Clans topic are not needed anymore because SLTV will take care of ALL clan tournaments, as well and clans creation and management, sending matches results, having clan pages, etc.

So, starting from the problems regarding abuse of clan topics (Trolling with second accounts, speaking other languages, phishing topics, etc.) there's quite not a reason to have a clan topic on the forum. It's simply not productive. Wars can be arranged contacting the skypes of the leaders. Discussion can be held on the personal "walls" of players and clans, as well as recruitment. 

The fact that there are only 12 players it's a pity, it's true, but as GV previously said, those are the average numbers of active players each large clan has. When creating a team on SLTV you can still split your clan in 2 or 3 teams according to the number of players you have. And complaining here won't work - the SL managers are very firm about this and it looks this number is not going to change.

i think the clans section is not bothering u that much but to us it's very important!! u should listen to what we want...

and the worst thing is the 12 members! well u said clans have probably only 12 members active but not all clans.. a clan means family and u want us to kick members of the family bcuz they are more than 12 !!? how cool!

._. Not good at all, but as sn95 said, we can creat many teams in SLTV and i think thats good, bcuz one clan can choose its squad (best players) but the lower rankee and skilled players will have a chance to proove themselfes in the 2nd clan team in SLTV
