How to beat isida with firebird?

Now currently at my rank m2 isida almost always wins gead to head battles.  Now head to head battles with isida are avoidable with freeze m2 because you can circle isidas while there frozen.  But Firebird doesn't freeze so you cant really avoid fighting asidas head to head (of course unless you sneak up on him or come from directly behind).  Outranging m2 isidas is almost impossible unless they are using a slow hull with fire m2.  But most isidas use hornet which is fast.  Could I have so help from experienced firebird users.  I just got firebird m2 and am not a pro with it yet unlike almost all of the m2s in my garage.  HELP!!! plzz. thanks.

Isida deals max damage at any range, and freeze and fire deal max at VERY close distances. The only way is to circle them and hope that its auto-aim doesnt catch up to you (with it doesnt most often :P)

Get close and try to circle him :)

 

1) firebird will do maximum damage

2) with isida is gets much more difficult to hit someone when they are right up tight against you :)

 

Also, possibly, a tip is to not shoot straight away, to recharge first (otherwise he will just self heal), but that advice might be slightly dodgy

3.Burn him to death!

Easy

 1) Go up to the Isida and start burning

 2) Start running away from it

 3) If it's chasing you, drop a mine and it will drive over the mine, which will explode, killing the Isida

Thats not possible because both guns have same distance of currents/fire

If you're attacking the isida and he didn't see you, either start burning him until he dies or , if you want to save you're health, burn him enough so afterburn activates. Then hide, let the afterburn damage him , and once the afterburn goes out, repeat the strategy

actually if you're charging the i sida head on then most often the auto aim does catch on :D

Just shoot the guy and run and if he follows than lay a mine and boom if he doesn't follow than you are still safe :) and the after burn will damage him if not kill him ;)

I use M2 Isida all the time, so I think I know a few strategies.

 

1. When I'm going against other Isidas, I try to circle them and use random stops and starts to throw off their 'connection' to my tank. Firebird could do the same, but with the added advantage of not having to be so precise like I do with Isida.

 

2. Stay back and use your range to spray, and retreat. If the Isida follows, keep backing up for a few seconds, then attack to kill him instantly. If he doesn't follow you, wait a few seconds, then burn him a little more and move on to your next target.

Alright everybody i have a solution. Here are my suggestions.

 

1) Attack from behind (there is no need to use all of your charge) then retreat, hopefully the afterburn will do its job.

 

2) Do not outrange, this job is for freezes. You actually want to be as close as possible to the asida because the damage is much greater when you are closer to you enemy. You will probably die first but their death will be seconds after yours.

 

3). If you are still having trouble just get a protection paint such as Alian, Electra (overpriced in my oppinion), or iribis which has amazing protection. Currently I use Urban for protection against asidas.

Firebird outranges Freeze and Isida by a significant margin. I usually pop out behind, and start firing away. Since most a noobs, you can circle then quite easily. But sometimes it's better to get in close. I do some drive-by shootings where I go, start spraying from a good distance away and go so close to him that it can't connect. If it does, I use some evasion tactics and lose it. If I die, the afterburn is there :D

You say you're good with Freeze? Well use the same tactics only much quicker because things will be doing much faster.
