Something I started at the end of summer, didn't get past paragraph 2.  I write A LOT and have a hard time stopping hence the 540 word count, and I still think it isn't at a chapter ending point yet more of a teaser, but here you go!

Next chapter will include the front lines.

                                                                                          World War T

It all started the day they unveiled their new tanks, nothing like anything the world had ever seen. Russia once again astounded and changed the world, like they did with Yuri Gagarin. It hasn't been the same since, not even slightly, because that was the day all hell broke loose.

The lab has been working in overdrive since the war began, our tanks stand no chance against the Russian's, those machines of death and destruction, all we can do now is hope that survivors come back from the front, and that my brother is one of them. I started working at General Dynamics 3 years before the war broke out, working on odds and ends, some drones and some other classified projects, now devoted to the development of a tank to match the Russians.

I was working on creating tough and much more durable tracks for our tanks when one of the runners for the lab came up to my door and said;

“Dr. Marlowe, Dr. Bradley would like to see you in his office.”

“Alright,” I started, putting down the tool I was using. “I’ll be there in a moment.”

Other lead researchers and scientists were filtering into Dr. Bradley's office each one of them equally perplexed as to why all of us were there. Dr. Bradley, the head of this lab had been in the business all his life, and knew more than any other official that we needed a miracle.

“I know rumors have been going around about a captured tank,” he began. “I’d like to let you know that those rumors are true.”

The room began to buzz with excitement and whispers among the scientists.

“Right now the tank is being transported from the front to this lab for inspection and study. It appears to be a Dictator hull and a Railgun turret, more commonly known as ‘Fear Machine’ we will be able to salvage most of the tank and get it back up and running in no time. This is also classified, the tank will be stored in the top security bunker below ground and only you the people standing before me may be granted access into that bunker. Understood?”

A murmur of acknowledgment flowed through the room.

“Alright back to work a detailed report will be arriving with the tank.” Dr. Bradley finished. We shuffled silently out of the room down the sterile white hallways of the lab. I quickly got back to work finalizing the material for he treads, undoubtedly the treads of the Dictator had been damaged in battle.

It took a 3 days for the tank to arrive, those were the three slowest days of my life. I felt like a child again, days before Christmas with all the presents wrapped beautifully under the tree begging to be ripped open, and when the tank did arrive, what a sorry sight it was. It was understandable why the crew abandoned, it if they got the chance, the report that came with it said that a landmine containing 5 kg of TNT detonated on the right side of the tank miraculously crippling it. The scene was ghastly, a gaping hole ripped in the side of the tank...

Hey guys, I'm probably using this essay in English class as well for an assignment .  I'd like to get some feedback to know whether this would be good, or to totally scrap the story and write a new one.  There are some amazing writers here and I'd like to see what you guys think.

Thank you colonel314

Arnold Kampreiser

Chapter 1

Who is "silent soldier"?

1st of September, A fine day when I (Always_Better_Than_you) was playing tanki online. There was quit a lot of battles in server 3. After careful consideration I decided to go to the silence CTF. Turns out It was one hard core battle, even  generalissimos were there. When ever there are high rank players I knew there would be a lot of battle funds. I was playing in Freeze and viking, and of course the second I came to the battle there were druggers.  The score is 10:8 the opposing team were in the lead. And then just when I was about to go to capture the flag a player approached me. His name was Silent soldier. He was in thunder m2 and viking m2. With my usual tactics I tried to kill him with double power but no use he just stood there and with 1 shot he blew my m1 viking. I was confused normally my viking gives a little more fight against another tank. We lost the battle, so I went to the forum and searched for "Silent soldier"

nothing came out with the results. I tried going to the Russian forum and searched for "Silent soldier" as usual nothing came to my screen. I tried the German one as well but the result was the same.I went back to the game and sent a friend request to him.

He didn't approved it, and then i knew something was up.I have heard of the rumors about  such mysterious players, he was quit like GOD_MODE_ON but I went back to the battle and hold 'tab' to see the battle statistics and he was in the top of the list with 66 kills and 0 lost. I was totally confused and

I knew it was time to improvise. I played like crazy aiming for one desire to destroy Silent soldier.

I was defenseless against his never ending attacks. And then the tables changed my friend death tiger showed up to the battle. We stand unite against our offence and defense. We called that strategy the "Dual demolition" When I went in the offence he stay to defense. When I stay defense he goes on the offence.finally our team was in the winning streak. We both went on the offence and tried to find silent soldier, but our efforts were worthless. he must have been a master in parkour and he was in the highest peak in  silence besides he was SNIPPING.

We went out to a Private  battle and death tiger asked " Who was that dude?"

"I have no idea" I replied. "Then I guess it's time for investigate."

With our efforts we were able to find that His real name was Arnold kampreiser. It was hard to find information about him. The only way to find information is from GOD_MODE_ON it was really hard but he spilled the beans.The silent soldier is living in England, London to be exact. And he also said that Arnold is CURSED because he was the best tank man in the history of tanki online. The other players was jealous because he was the best.And the time past, there jealousy with Arnold ran through there soul and body and because of there hatred the poor Arnold was cursed.  But he was able to understand this situation, the balance of the world must be kept equal so he had no choice later till today;

He never sleeps,  He never rests till his enemies are destroyed not even a single post, a single letter in the chat is he really the zombie tanker??  our heroes play tanki with this crazy thought in there mind, and continued  in the search

end of chapter 1

I really don't know why the other people have down voted my story, but i do know what have to be in a story>

  1. Action: We called that strategy the "Dual demolition" When I went in the offence he stay to                      defense. When I stay defense he goes on the offence.
  2. Mystery:  I have heard of the rumors about  such mysterious players
  3. suspense: 66 kills and 0 lost. I was totally confused
  4. and etc.. (romance- only if you need)

Chapter I

I woke up to the sounding of roaring M3 Thunders, just like on regular Sundays. But that Sunday was, in no way a regular day, for it was my first day of initiation. Serving my community in spectacular tank battles had always been my dream. Whether it comes to the outstanding range of tank combinations you are assigned to because of your skill level, or the high tech respawn technology which lets you keep fighting and never really die! I love it all. I live and breathe Tanki – the world’s greatest sport. My brother was also desperate to start his tanking career, but he was 10 years old. You start your career at 12 years.

I strolled down the stairs full of joy and excitement for today I would become a new recruit for the English Community. I put my pre-packed bags in the car. I wished my family an emotional goodbye, for today was my last day I was staying at the house. I gave hugs to every family member as they wished me good luck. Few tears shed from my mother and my grandmother’s eyes. But my dad was always a strong person with a harder personality than my mum. My brother and I would dream of taking down other Generalissimos in style! So he told me to rank up as fast as possible and grab every Gold Box that I see.

I saw flashes of memories as my father drove me to the Tanki HQ. I was really excited to be starting my journey to Generalissimo, but at the same time sad, for I missed my family so much. When we got out of the car, I gave him a huge hug and said goodbye. I would miss my mother and him the most out of my family. I turned and walked towards the Hub. As I walked through the automatic doors, I felt a rush of air. This was my first step to becoming a Generalissimo.

On my left was a sign saying ‘New Recruits.’ As I approached the sign, I saw a crowd of people my age sitting in the waiting room. Most of them quiet, only the confident Recruits talking. But confident and talented are two different words right? You could immediately recognize that all of the girls were sat on the right and the boys on the left. In a couple of weeks this would surely change. There weren’t many free seats in the seating area, but I just managed to find one. I waited for fifteen minutes calling my family and saying goodbye for good. I wouldn’t see them again until open day in about a month.

When initiation began, the examiners called upon different people to test what tank category they’d fit into. They called people four at a time, and I was called up with the sixth group. This was it. The moment I had been hoping for my entire life, what turret I would be assigned with. A tall man called me up with my tank name, “Hamztank please step into my test room.”

Chapter 1

It was just a normal day in tanki online. Then during a random battle some one named killer joined, but some how he was a recruit with an M3 FIREBIRD! All the other tankers where stunned! How could a recruit have an M3 FIREBIRD?  He started killing all the tankers! Then one tanker said "We need to destroy this guy." Everyone said "YA!" So the tankers started to go all out on the tanker named killer. Then a big explosion happened! Then a gold tank appeared!

I have gaurded the flag for at least an hour. The other team was coming closer, that is when the fog came. There were many explosions, many orange lights. I knew my team was destroyed, and I was the only survivor who could turn the tables. The gold box dropped, wiping away all of the fog. I turned toward the flag; It was missing from the post. I chased after them, shooting with all I had. They reached the bridge, but all wasn’t lost.

I hope you like the start!

                    Unidentified Plasma Ball

There was a streak of light flashing past my eyes, It was a huge plasma ball and ricochet off the building leaving no sign of evidence which was unusual and crash landed onto a football training ground. I sprinted quickly in despair. 3 minutes later... I eventually arrived at the crash site and left a massive, rayless hole the size of a 'sun'.

1 hour later... I was so curious to know what was down that mysterious hole thinking whether there is monstrosity down there or an invasion, my mind was blank and I felt a good shiver go down my spine. the dazzling light came back ricocheting off the ground coming close to the atmosphere. Suddenly I hear police sirens on my right ear giving me a 200 volt shock down my heart and hearing rattling noises down the hole on my left ear giving me goose bumps and I felt anxious.

15 seconds later...

The Grand Offensive

Part 1: The Invasion

Commander Nikolai marched along the imposing row of tanks neatly lined up outside the defense perimeter of Berlin, the last German stronghold.

"Comrades, today, we strive to bring glory to our motherland, and to annihilate these ingrates from the face of the Earth! They will feel our full power, wrath, and anger! Mercy is not ours to give! Let them taste our vengeance while we send them all to hell!"

Sauntering over to a distraught looking soldier, he snatched the bottle of vodka from his trembling clutches, "save that for when Berlin is ours, comrade! Fear not, for victory is certain!"

A mortar shell landed near my tank, the ground shook and the sound of confused shouting rang in my ears. The musty, yet familiar smell of gunpowder and charred metal perforated the already saturated air. Everyone scrambled to their offensive positions.

"Happy birthday Hitler," Nikolai muttered under his breath.

"All units, attack! Fire at will! For mother Russia!"

Slowly, but surely, our formation of tanks began to advance, decimating all enemy troops in our path. Fierce resistance was met, with German troops and heavy gunfire bombarding our positions. Artillery shells whistled overhead as Gatling guns sought to inject rhythmical discipline into the chaos ensuing on the ground.

"We need air support!" Colonel Alexei hollered, motioning to the radio. Soon, heavy artillery fire came from behind us into the German capital. Suddenly, a strange silence fell over the street we were besieging. Enemy movement had ceased. I looked to my fellow comrades, only to find the same confusion and puzzlement etched on their faces. The street seemed abandoned, save for the multitudes of fallen soldiers scattered like breadcrumbs across the brick pavement, their faces contorted beyond recognition and limbs strewn haphazardly across the blood stained mesh of concrete and mangled metal.

The infantry inched forward tentatively, unsure and cautious at this unexpected development.

A single gunshot reverberated around the deserted street. A lieutenant from the 6th Belorussian front gave a muffled cry of horror and stumbled backwards. I had noticed the flash of the shot, bearing origin from behind a window on the third floor of a battered building. The sniper had clearly been trying to establish the chain of command and had been relatively successful in doing so.

"Contact from within the buildings! " The warning had barely left my lips when the windows of buildings from both sides of the deceptively empty street erupted in heavy machine gun fire.

Abandoning our posts and breaking formation, we dived for cover behind overturned vehicles as our infantry units began to scale the stairs to take out the snipers. Our ten tanks lumbering in the middle of the street slowly turned their turrets, preparing to neutralize the threat. Bullets ricocheted off the thick heavy armor of the sturdy T-34 tanks like peanuts as the turrets of destruction took careful aim at the doomed resistance fighters seeking cover in the brittle concrete buildings.

I clutched my assault rifle and tried to catch my breath. War was no stranger to me, but this was different. We had been caught completely off guard. Things could have gone much worse... I glanced at my companion Boris, seeking reassurance. He gave me a confident nod and motioned upwards. We were taking cover in one of the buildings and would try to take out the troops hiding upstairs. Adrenaline coursed through my veins as we scaled the stairs with unparalleled speed and dexterity.

The rumbling sound of the German tanks rose over the noise of small arms fire and artillery shells. The German tank battalion had arrived.

"Panzer Vor!!!" A loudspeaker resonated from the German line.

Realising the advantage of higher ground, we hastened our climb to the top floor. We turned the final round of stairs, with Boris ahead as usual. Abruptly, Boris stopped dead in his tracks. Slowly, he laid his rifle down on the unforgiving concrete floor and raised his hands. The sound of a pistol cocking echoed around the stairwell. Beads of perspiration trickled down my forehead as the sudden raw realization dawned on my tormented soul.

Swiftly, I ducked back down the stairwell as two pairs of scuff hairy arms pushed Boris into the room. For the first time in the war, I was at loss of what to do...

It was a dark, cold and shadowy night. My friends and I were walking down the street. The city was pitch-black, with the only serviceable light source being the full moon. I was walking with Robert and Boris which at times posed an inexorable dilemma – they were covered within the night. I was well out of breath, to such an extent that I was trudging down the grotesque street. It’s infuriating because it was never like this before. The town of Bymist was highly revered for being as clean as a whistle but it appears it’s been debased by today’s youth.

“Anton, speed up the pace!” said Robert vehemently. He’s known for a while that I’ve been at a disadvantage when it comes to walking. You see, I’m a big lad; I’m not really a fan of exercise or anything that involves excessive movement. Due to that, I never really had a great childhood. My stature was a comedic gold mine. For years, I tried to whittle away at the pounds but it always amounted to nothing. That’s why, given that Robert and I have known each other for decades that he would acknowledge this and slow down for me. However, it seemed that was too much to ask.

“HURRY UP!” Robert then screamed. “If you don’t speed up the pace, I’m leaving without you!” After hearing that boisterous voice, it became apparent that my unhurried demeanour was a problem here. “Leave him alone, Robert!” Boris then said in a venture to stick up for me. “Fine then!” Robert finally replied. “I really can’t stay here. I’m out.” At this point, it was certain that Robert was perturbed it was down to Boris and I to get to the root of the problem. “What’s the matter?!” Boris asked, clearly proving our thought patterns were similar just then. Robert just ignored him, however; he wasn’t prepared to give anything away.

“Come on, we’re your friends!” I said, more enthusiastic than I’d been in a while. “Please stop!” barked Robert. “I don’t want you to be affiliated in anyway!” By then, I was able to break it down; I had concluded someone else was involved. “Who is it?” I said in a straight tone. “Who is troubling you?” By the expression that beamed off Robert’s face, it appeared that I was right. “I’ve said too much, I’ve got to go!” he then replied, before quickly storming off. Verily someone was bothering him, but we didn’t know why, and more significantly, who. I arrived at my trench and gave Boris the necessary send-off before slumping off inside.

“Take my hand, dear” said my mother, in a futile attempt to get me out of the state I was in. I’ve known Robert from way back so seeing him like that really hit home. There was absolutely nothing I could do. "Please, dear" my mother then said. It appeared she was very worried about me. "You needn't worry" I responded, in an endeavour to reassure her.

I didn’t know anything regarding the case, but one thing was certain; it’s that I would not rest until I found everything out.

Where The Storm Came From:

Chapter One:

Homecoming

Five tanks are rolling in the dust, with the red flag in the middle, tanks all around me are celebrating, but I don't.

Im supposed to be on the lookout for snipers, yet I'm goofing off. "Come on, start shooting at those snipe's!" I think.

I swivel my rail' around the corner and send a bolt straight through a wasp just as it catches fire. "Piece of tin" I mutter . Every single tank has one life in this game, it was his fault he wasted it on a wasp.

Just then all five tanks explode, I see the pellets of a shaft zooming all around, it happened so fast. In seconds I'm the only survivor, I stroll through the carcasses of my dead team members. I manage to get back the flag while the enemy is still reloading, I capture it right when a railgun line misses my hull by an inch.

I take cover behind a small building. "Quick, I need to get to high ground! and fast" I tell myself. I pull out of cover, snatch up a health box, and make my way up ramps to the top of the map.

Turns out I'm not the only one there, theres no time to think, I roll up next to the sniper and obliterate his puny little piece of tin. I do a 360 scan across the map and see three more tanks coming up to my little hideout, "get ready for a fight" I think as I'm reloading and mapping out my escape route. But before I can do anything else, I'm engulfed in flames, I jump out the side of the tower, 10 stories high. As Im falling the flamethrower guy is falling at my side, we both are spinning to the ground, but Im the only one who makes it; I fire a beautiful shot at him and the tank explodes as we continue to fall. Luckily I landed upright and now I roll as fast as I can to another safe hideout, just as ricochet pellets are missing all over me. My turret shoots parallel against my hull like an old pirate ship does. I smile in satisfaction as my enemy does a 360 flip from the explosion.

Five new players have joined since the sudden turn of events. Realizing this is far too dangerous for me, I prepare to leave the battle out of cowardice, but right before I do, I see a tank with a fully upgraded Shaft and Viking, "wait no, that isn't a shaft, nor a viking!" I think, I cannot recognize the turret and hull, but it sure looks deadly. I am leaving the battle right when I catch a glimpse of it's title. What I see next will be what destroys hundreds of great tanks, a legendary tank, one that has been the dominant of them a long time ago, and it has come back from the grave………..

Moving on to choice #4:

Was a English assignment quite long ago...

Terrlandor. The worst place in history. Where dictatorship rules, hungrily. Nothing but torture is present in the daily basis of peoples’ lives.

Vicious, violent and venomous flames spat through the village houses of the city. No one could do anything but watch. Horrified, I gazed at the TV screen, watching the flashing headlines of the news. I was horrified and disgusted. People were screeching like bats in the dark as their houses were being burnt down. The poor villagers. They were always the victims of this horrendous torment. Our leader hated the villagers so he wanted to wipe them all out. This is because he wanted everyone to be urbanised. He hated the villages; he loved the city. This is due to his childhood; where he had lived in the village with his mother and father. His father was very harsh, he forbade him from crossing the border in which laid the city. Thus, as he lived his spiteful childhood, he had yearned to become a dominant leader who would live by the city and torture the villagers.

The work of the dictatorship ruling our city was dreadful. They had the power which no one was able to stand against (well, no one had ever tried). They enjoyed every moment of it; torturing the innocent villagers. All we knew about our dictatorship leader was that it was a man. No one had ever seen him before but his workers. This suffering was enough!

An idea crawled into my head. I had to meet the mysterious man who was overpowering us with torture and I had to question him of why he was doing so! Was all this worth it? Was there a reason behind his maliciousness?

It was long back, about 60 years ago; when our leader’s father was the dictatorship. They passed on their leadership to the heirs. We had harsh laws and terrifying punishments. Once a group of prisoners had gone missing from their cells in prison, no one knew what happened to them. They were never seen again, guards had declared that they had escaped and were never found. But everyone knew that it was just a distortion to cover up the concealed truth.

I headed outside to accomplish my goal. The grey, dreary clouds were disguising the sky like a spy. Lightning tore through the clouds as if it were in a race. Instantly, thunder boomed through the skies. BOOM! The ground shook. Acidic rain descended from the gloomy clouds. I hastily scurried under a shelter to prevent myself from getting soaked.

Time drifted past, the rain finally stopped. I headed towards the lake. Across the lake was where the leader lived. No one ever dared to cross as it was over flowing with guards. In silence, I crept into the lake and dived underwater. At the corner of my eyes I detected something which I’ve never seen in my life. I gaped at the skeletons buried deep into the lake. I was gob-smacked…

Now #5:

‘I cannot believe we got locked in!  Locked . . . in a library!!’

‘Look, James, I’m not the only one who forgot time.  You were so stuck in that game, you looked as if you’d slipped into a coma.’

James’s heart thumped at his chest, and – strangely – reminded him of what the old machine guns must have sounded like during the First World War.

‘You are letting your imagination run away with you,’ said Ben.

At that moment, a copy of ‘Worlds Greatest Tanks’  fell to the floor, followed by a copy of ‘Worlds Best Game’ by Tanki Online.

‘Crickey!!’ choked Ben, a knot of adrenalin bringing a tingle to his finger-tips (and, oddly, to his ear-lobes, too).

‘What?  WHAT IS IT?!’  asked James.

‘I CANNOT BELIEVE IT!!  Who would have thought it?  Well . . . something is definitely odd about this place.’

‘Yes . . . yes . . . that’s what I’ve been trying to tell you, Ben!!  We need to get out of here!’

‘No, no, no.  Not until we have put these books in the correct order.  I cannot believe our librarians would over-look this.   Now,THAT is creepy!!’

‘I cannot believe this, Ben!  We are stuck in this place all alone, and . . .’

‘Firstly, James, we are not ALONE.  If there’s one place where a person is definitely NOT all alone, it’s a library.  We are surrounded by computers here. I haven't even got my daily prize yet!!!!!

Suddenly, a SNAPCRACK and a POP splits the coal-blackness. James and Ben felt the hairs on the nape of their necks stand to attention, as a desk-light turns on, painting surfaces in a sulphur-yellow wash.

‘Can I help you boys find a computer?’ said the resident librarian, eating her favourite bowl of cereal, Rice-Crispies  ‘Librarians never sleep boys.  Too many tanks to kill.  I’ll sleep when I’m dead.’

And that was when Ben noticed:

Miss ‘Resident Librarian’ cast no shadow.

Chapter 1: The Foreigner

   May 25th, 2020. 1400-1500 Hours UTC.

It was May 25th. A great day for battles, especially with the x2 Battle Fund multiplier. Many happy battles were raging on, including the ever so often XP battle mode, which had just been implemented into the game.  One XP battle, in sandbox, was receiving complaints from a few people, about the very annoying mult. A couple minutes later, once the moderators had gathered decent evidence, he was disconnected from the battle. "Nice job team." said Mr. Simone Keerov, pleased to see that he had such a talented team. It was then that a new situation, at 3:00pm occured. The Tanki team was getting a distress signal. Strangely enough, in the same battle. Little did the staff know that the next 3 months would be the most painful, struggle ever known to an online game.

*

May 25th, 2020. 1400 hours UTC. In the Sandbox XP battle.

In that sandbox battle, a ferocious 2v2 XP battle was raging on.  James and his friend, Alex, were badly beating the other team, 10-3, mostly as a result of the mult just taking boxes. A couple minutes later he was disconnected, as a result of being reported by his teammate and both James and Alex, who were wanting a real challenge. Abruptly, the battle slot was immediately taken by the usename of GodMode_DEAD. "Who was this weird person?" everyone inquired. He spawned, and it looked to be the weirdest tank ever seen. It was not one of the tanks from Tanki. Instead, its metal looked a little rustic, and looked to be a tank somewhat in the past. It looked fairly similar to a wasp, except it seemed to have filled in the gap in the wasp tank. It's turret was like a little stub, just like the shape of a tree stump (just a little skinnier) On the sides it had an odd symbol: A star with a circle around it. "What is this piece if junk metal?' asked Alex.  James thought it looked vaguely familiar. Suddenly, a flashback: 'James was surfing the web, for any tank games he could find. Then he came across World of Tanks. He remembered how the long and seemingly endless the download seemed. After the agonizing download, he started happily playing it. The first tank he ever played though, was the T1 Cunningham.' James snapped back into reality. He looked at the mysterious tank. "Oh my gosh." He exclaimed. "That's obviously not from Tanki, that's a tank from...." Alex stared at his friend, James, waiting for him to finish the sentence, but instead he saw the bullet holes in the front hull of the tank. Then he felt it too, smashing into his side. The foreign tank, was shooting its rapid fire machine gun.

Coming Up #7:

Ghosts Vs Aliens: The age of Extinction

It was a sunny usual day in the Tanki Way Galaxy, young privates busy polishing their tracks, having their morning power-ups 'drugs'. Then gold boxes started appearing on various maps. But before anyone could grab these boxes, the message appeared-"The Ghost has tank the gold box". It became a huge mystery world wide. A few days passed by withing anything interesting and gradually the tankers forgot about the accident. Life went back to normal, The 26th issue of the tanki newspaper, the rusty barrels and everything usual. Then one day the virtual skies of every map turned RED. Dark anti-crystal boxes started raining. Any tank that dared to move was turned to ashes. There was terror and many maps crumbled like paper into giant black holes. Large Tank-flies appeared on the remaining maps. What were they? Extra-Terrestrial-Tanks! They were equipped with queer weapons. Paints that absorbed energy, Chemical Gas Weapons that melted the whole tank away, mines that could kill every tank on the map, Wrap Drive engines that could jump from map to map, some indescribable things which gave frights and haunted tank dreams. Only they knew what else they had up their sleeves. When the developers went to talk in peace, it was clear that they didn't want peace. They ate the developers and sent the tank tracks  back as a sign of "The Extinction of Tankanity".

First they sent toys, we had a hard time but managed to survive. Then they sent Light tanks which reduced our numbers to half, we still held. But then they sent the Gladiator, armed in his bloody turret mask, brutal singularity(gravitational) flank and anti matter mines. The lubricant of thousands of innocent tanks  was marking the path of its tracks on the ground. Then as a sign of war he shot into the sky a huge volley of nukes. At the sight of his fury, many privates left their posts and ran into their garages. But even before they went inside, they turned into molten metal. Then he roared his engines and filled the air with fear. Even the Clan leaders stood helpless watching young tanks melt. But suddenly something strange happen. The Gladiator as if he had seen a ghost, went wild and leaked fuel on spot. The Tanks world wide then got the answer to "The Ghost has tank the gold box" mystery. A Shadow of a rusted German Panzer, charging a solar beam, on top of a broken lighthouse. The old tank fired the beam on the Gladiator but he used wrap drive to flee. Then the shadow too melted away.

Researches world wide started searching for answers. A myth, a rural legend. According to that myth, Millions of centuries ago there existed a highly advanced civilization. But because of conflicts they split into two. One group took to the skies and swore to return only to destroy the terrestrial race. The terrestrials too prepared for war. They slept for ages to fight when the enemy returned. Now when the fliers came back the whole army will awake and the battle will raze for centuries. The dark crystal boxes  already took the crystals of thousand innocent tanks and yet didn't stop. A small task force of the best Tommandos was sent to steal tech from both sides.

On its way to the ship of the crusaders, the Alpha squad encountered a patrol Howitzer. The brutal gun was standing near a pile of turrets. It aimed at them, hit the Battalion Commander and reduced him to a pile of pixels. A brave Captain uncovered his bayonet and drove right into the beast. The beast charged Life - Drain gun......

The end of Chapter one.

Want to find out what happen next? Did he kill the Howitzer or Did he end up as a "Tasty Snack"?

Find out what happen to the Brave Captain in Chapter two.

Stay tuned for Chapter two.

Here is #8:

As I walk home, gales of wind lash at my face like a ceaseless whip. On top of that, I feel a sort of sensation telling me I am being watched. I swivel my head, only to stop and gaze in front of me, everything sparkling a conspicuous shade of red, from the intensity of the crimson sunset. I feel bad leaving the majestic sunset behind, a picturesque moment. I continue walking along the remote, empty streets. To be honest, it’s unnerving to walk along the streets at this time, shadows constantly bouncing around. As I continue walking, I look to my right, and only get a quick glance at a hooded figure, covered in black, clothes immaculate. I am only given ample time for fear to take shape within myself. I open my mouth to scream, only to find a cloth being raised against my face. For a fleeting moment I feel as if there is no effect, and adrenaline urges me inflict pain towards my attacker. I kick him and he doubles down, but then I feel everything fading, becoming increasingly blurry. I slump to the ground.

I hear voices, hushed voices speaking to each other. I slowly open my eyes, and a wave of grogginess washes over me. I look around the room I am being incarcerated in, to find nothing other than a toilet and a table, the rooms meticulously clean, walls painted a vibrant shade of yellow. All the memories of the previous night is a haze within my mind. As if I was a feeble old man, I arise from the cot I am held in, and move to the front of the “cell” in an attempt to hear the voices more clearly. The voices are like an old radio, too distant, and only providing snippets of conversation, “Jimmy cannot… could use floor… to get out.”

Another voice, “Ransom… thousands… he cannot escape” After that, the voices raise to a crescendo, and an argument arises.

What did they mean, talking about my escape, as if it was a tangible possibility? I am locked in a “prison”, and there is no apparent way to escape.

Days pass, days of hope for escape, until finally I set my eyes on my only chance out. I spot a loosened tile on the floor, that I could lift and go where it leads me to. Face caked in a mixture of concrete and sweat, I finally manage to pry open the tile. Beneath me is what seems to be an office, but abandoned, all items in it dilapidated. I open the only door in the office, creaking as it slowly inches open. Outside is somewhat of a yard, the sun shining above, while birds chirp harmoniously. The only thing separating me from escape is a small fence erected carelessly. I run, laughing in glee, pride swelling within myself. Suddenly, I hear a gunshot, followed by immense pain. I fall to the ground, paralysed by the pain.

#9:

In the intense, pitch black, unlit darkness beneath the brutal and violent seas of the pacific, despite the crashing power of the waves, muffled under the dense waters below. The overcast of frothy pollution coated ocean waters created a chilling atmosphere. The pale algae hazed the sea floor making it difficult detect anything that lay hidden in the undergrowth.

I gliding through the empty sea, unaware of the dormant dangers that may lurk nearby, Bearing in mind to take caution.

Drifting along the weak flow of the current; exploring beyond this perilous, deserted underworld, swimming virtually without motion, almost limiting my breathing for a moment. The water smelt and tasted pungent with salt.

Then all of a sudden it emerged out of nowhere. The most tiniest minuscule of movements I had detected seeming that I hadn't been in contact with civilization for years, alerting my starved body with the simulating taste of food and blood, reminding me that I hadn't eaten for five days.

I knew what this meant.

This flooded my organs with bodily hormones and adrenalin, failing to sustain the excitement. I broke in desperation and burst into instinct and infiltrated though the clouds of algae. Despite the prohibition of my sight, it was guaranteed my aim was on target. I penetrated through the thicker waters, climbing to the surface towards the dim glow of daylight. The crushing weight of the ocean sea released me as I surfaced for my kill.

I perceived perfectly and instantly sunk my teeth into flesh and bone, spearing the unwilling victim in the torso and thrashing the body around in triumph, I knew the body was not a fish. The meat was warmer and succulent. The blood began to bleed heavily and ruby red goodness that was driving me to madness stained the ocean surface. The creature attempted to recede and escape, useless limbs pushed and thrusted against my head in frustration, followed by piercing wails in agony.

I've heard similar cries as I ever heard them on the surface before, sharp and intense noises.

'CRAACKK!'

The splashes continued and the cries grew louder down as I instinctively fastened my teeth into the creature’s abdomen, avoiding releasing my grip. Sooner, I’d sense others spotted our brawl in the far distance on the beaches, shouting in response. The animal gradually fell silent and departed. I withdrew underwater in distress with the carcass, hopefully without much detection from rivals who like steal my prize.

I was victorious, carrying the blood-drenched corpse in my jaws. My adrenalin dropped and I was once calm again.

I savored the flesh as most predators would, slowly chewing the rich tender innards first. I then swam back through my familiar hunting grounds away from the coast line to the secluded coral bays to consume. I go there because it’s a recognizable environment for me. With the dark, rocky coral for the benefit of my camouflage, the pests and bottom feeders cower in nearby crevasses as they see me float past.

Near dying as the sea is, I wish I wouldn't have to venture to the surface to survive, but at the same time, ameliorating my methods to reach further gives me the power to remain dominant in my kingdom...

(This was part of a piece written by me in secondary school for creative writing I've touched up on it a bit and sent it here)

And Last But not Least, #10:

Bravery
