ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

For a grown man it may not end up as a fatality. But since half of the forum are underaged(meaning below 18) such challenges may lead to death or heavy sickness. Also I am very disappointed that the staff have supported this topic. Imagine what would happen to tanki if a child died because he was dared by Tanki online players. And most importantly staff who let it happen. I am certainty not against the challenge. But I don't think the idea should be advertised and suggested to TO players who are mostly below 16. Thank you.

Well there was no need to call it Quote " Stupid Idea ". You could've just gone on minding your own business if you disliked the idea.

The idea of poring cold icy water over your head is stupid and dangerous. And all because of a "dare"? Such a icy temperature could give you a flew or even kill you. Only a noob with a death wish would do this. I am surprised that you all don't know the consequences. Go ahead dislike. be noobs. But this is the truth

Yea,

But its worth a try.

I have no idea what is inbetween your ears. YOU HAVE THE CHOICE OF EITHER DOING THIS CHALLENGE OR DONATING $100 TO THE CHARITIY.

Some people did this AND donated, like Bill Gates.

Its still stupid. Whatever the reason. killing yourself is just plane stupid. No better word for it

Alright eragon, you are a sane thinking forum member and despite your acerbic comments I still respect you. However if you dare to call such a clean cause pointless and stupid, I have no other way of replying but telling you that you are a hypocrite.

The ALS Ice bucket challenge is arguably an original, catchy and compelling way to raise awareness of this horrible condition and is therefore the most efficient way of raising money for the cause. We all know how the internet works, and if it were some classic petition or charity asking for money just like that, the results would be depressing.

And no, no argument about some cold water poured on your head and giving you a cold can turn the odds in your favor. In fact, I ran a mile the other day along with two classmates after which I poured the iced water on my head with the purpose of increasing the cardiovascular threat of the challenge just so I can prove to hypocrites like you that this is the least of your problems. I'm not uploading the video here because I'm not that open with this community, but I have donated money and am nominating anyone who thinks this is stupid.

And if you want the graphic, sad and classically compelling way for making you donate, watch this

As you wish. i tried to prevent a horde of mad parents at your doorstep. But you want it like that Ok. There are lots of ways to help charity. And I don't really hate that. But by risking your life is just stupid. No matter for what. but do it if you want. i just hate some brainless teenagers getting a idea from this topic and killing himself. Good bye. R.I.P

Dearest Eragon and those against the Ice Bucket Challenge,

I don't disagree with your thoughts that there are lots of ways to help charity. It is unfortunate that many neglect the existence of people in need though, and this often lacks the promotion of donating to others in need. A lot of people think, if I had a dollar and I could either spend it on myself on a delectable or on someone that they don't even know, they would choose themselves.

The Ice Bucket Challenge originally came out as an idea to spread awareness of ALS and to encourage more donations towards the ALS Association for aiding with patient support, research, and ALS awareness promotion.

Teenagers doing the challenge should not be deemed as brainless by any means. They are doing the challenge to help promote awareness and spread the word about ALS around their community. It all comes from a kind hearted origin, and not one that you came up with. As for parents, a lot of teenagers do choose to do it at home, where they can get towels, the bucket, water, etc. Parents who have an idea of this coming around should either have already told their child that it's ok, or that they should stay out if it for their own health's sake. Being that the challenge is all over the news, I'm pretty sure informative parents should know that this challenge is already booming in their part of the world.

If the teenagers do decide to work the challenge, it does not mean that they are asking for a cold. Preparations can be made, such as a blanket, towels, an extra set of clothes, and a safe environment so that after the challenge, they are in good hands. A couple seconds of cold water on you should not immediately kill you, that's an over exaggeration on your part.

I hope this answers some of your questions and confusions.

Tell me, how does pouring Ice over yourself kill you? Or even make you sick? During summers I consume over 30 ice cubes a day just for the sake of staying cool. Did that ever do anything to me? Ummm, NO. Donating for a good cause is your own choice, but stopping others from doing it is worse. If you don't want/can not do, atleast let others do it. Have knowledge of it first. Pouring ice and water over yourself will not kill you, and I think anyone who is old enough to read this will be able to survive.

It is always fun to watch these videos when you are Russian.

We have BANYA (national sauna) where ice bucket is a part of the rutine. Personally, I am enjoy to shower myself by ice cold water even more then having hot sauna. Gives me headaches sometimes though.
