Hello tankers and parkourists! In the previous article of this series, I explained the basics of parkour and today I have chosen a totally different, but still interesting topic: how can I create a page for my parkour team in the English forum? As well as this there are a couple of new lessons and guides – enjoy!

How do I make a page for my team in this forum?

Do you have a parkour team together with your friends? Do you want to show your videos to the community? Then it's time for action -  what are you waiting for? You should prepare a few things before you can post a topic. In this article I'll explain how simple it is to create a team in just a few steps. If you still have questions after reading this, ask them below the article!

Preparation

A few things should be prepared before creating your own topic. Besides the necessary stuff, it's recommended for you to make sure you're extremely prepared in everything. First of all you need to have a few videos of your parkour uploaded to YouTube. If you want to create a topic you should have thee or more videos, otherwise it's not allowed to create a topic in the creativity section. Beside this I recommend to have a clear topic, you can give your topic a clean look with horizontal rules, for example. In addition, I recommend a good connection between YouTube and your topic, and also a logo and a description.

Where and how should I post the topic?

Where to post your topic? The English forum has as of yet no special parkour section like the German and Russian community have. So where is it best to post a topic?  There are different sections where it's allowed to post your topic, though I recommend the creativity section, parkour is creativity, isn't it? This is exactly the reason that YouTube videos are needed to create your topic. Otherwise your topic doesn't follow the rules of the forum section. You also can technically post your topic in the Off Topic or Clans section.

What kind of stuff should I post in the topic?

For this aren't rules at all, of course it should follow the game rules and section rules, but as long as you follow them you can do whatever you want.

Tips and tricks!

Finally I would like to give some additional tips and tricks as to how you can create a great topic for your parkour team. You should know some little forum tricks, but if not, they can be found in this FAQ: The Forum: how to use it? Beside the forum, I'll give you some additional tips for your YouTube channel and information about parkour topics in the English community.

Division of the topic – The division of the topic is important for the overall look. If it looks neat, people will come back another day to check it again. For a good division you can add logos and other additional details. Logos can be made with graphics programs like Photoshop and Paint.NET. If you don't have any programs you might find someone who will create a logo for you in the creativity section. (Link) In that topic there are different people with Photoshop skills who are creating stuff on request. Request a logo there, and that's an easy and awesome addition for your topic. Still don't know how to divide up your topic well? Here is an example of a good looking topic (in my opinion):

  • Step 1 Go to the creativity section.
  • Step 2 Make a topic by clicking on the button 'Start New Topic'.
  • Step 3 Create the topic by doing, for example, the following things:
    • Logo and team name.
    • Link to the YouTube channel of your team.
    • Horizontal rule by using the code [ hr ].
    • Description of the team.
    • The names of the members and leaders of the team.
    • Horizontal rule by using the code [ hr ].
    • Videos of the team.

Tips for your YouTube channel – The channel is the place where it should happen. Here you have to show the world daily, weekly or monthly your parkour videos. I recommend to upload weekly new videos if you want to get likes, subscribers etc. If you want subscribers you should ask players to subscribe otherwise they can easily just think 'someone else will subscribe'. Once they have subscribed they will be informed by notifications if you have uploaded a new video. This will probably make them watch your new video and so you gain views and subscribers. This is just some additional information if you want to have subscribers. Otherwise I recommend to just post your videos and keep being focused on your parkour instead of subscribers. 'Once you are good at something, they will subscribe to your channel sooner or later.'

Parkour topics in the English forum – There are different types of parkour teams: there are real clans that besides playing clan wars are also are parkouring a lot. There are also real parkour teams that are just focused on parkour. Because these are different types of parkour teams too you'll find different parkour teams in different sections. If you are planning to create a page for your team I still recommend for you to create your topic in the creativity section since parkour is a) creativity and B) it's forbidden to parkour in clan wars and in my opinion it should have to be separated.

Lesson 2: Mines

As promised in the previous issue, I will tell you guys more about mines, so here you go! Mines are definitely very useful during parkour, but how do you use them correctly? Here we will have some simple tips and tricks about how to use them so that you won't make any mistakes!

The best effect?

"I like parkour a lot and was about to try out parkour with mines, but can you give me some more information about mines?" I have been asked this question many times, and the answer is - of course, I will! The easiest way to use mines is just to place them exactly on each other instead of next to each other or anything similar. During the time when you are placing the mines you shouldn't drive or shoot, or the mines won't be exactly on top of each other, and the mine effect won't be as good then. If you want to try out things other than this, you can try out laying them next to each other, though you aren't certain of a great effect then. If you lay them next to each other I recommend to lay one mine, drive forward and lay the other mine. This way you might have still a pretty awesome effect. If you have still questions about mines after reading, ask them below his article and I will do my best to help you out! In short how to get a great mine effect:

  • Step 1: Find a place to drop the mines.
  • Step 2: Lay the mines exactly on each other.
  • Step 3: Let a light tank (Wasp or Hornet) go up to a medium tank (Dictator, Viking or Hunter). If you don't know how to get on each other I recommend to read the first part of this series again. You can find the link at the bottom of this article.
  • Step 4: The medium tank should drive exactly with the middle of the front of his tank lined up with the mines, by this way you will get the best effect.
  • Step 5: Both hulls activate nitro and double armour (2 & 4).
  • Step 6: The medium hull drives towards the mine.
  • Step 7: During or a little bit before the explosion the light tank needs to drive forward away from the medium tank.
  • Step 8: Moments later both tanks will shoot with Railgun, and the tank will get another boost.
  • Step 9: If you have found the perfect timing, you can use this trick for different buildings. Also this trick can be combined with shots from underneath and other similar stuff; it can also be used if you're on a building and need to get up onto another building.

How many mines?

Now you know how to place and use mines, here's a list of the amount of mines you should use, depending on your hull and its modification:

  • 1 mine:
    • Hornet M0, Hornet M1, Hornet M2, Hornet M3*
    • Wasp M0, Wasp M1, Wasp M2, Wasp M3
    • Hunter M0, Hunter M1, Hunter M2*
    • Viking M0, Viking M1, Viking M2*
    • Dictator M0, Dictator M1*
  • 2 mines:
    • Hornet M3
    • Hunter M2, Hunter M3
    • Viking M2, Viking M3
    • Dictator M1, Dictator M2*
  • 3 mines:
    • Dictator M2, Dictator M3

*These hulls have two options, sometimes it can give too much damage and at other times a poor effect. You should just try it out!

These are the main points of how to use mines during parkour. These tricks can be combined with shots from underneath and many other things. Good luck with trying them!
