Should Mods who are playing the game, be allowed to ban people, while playing the game?

I personal think, that if a mod is playing the game, and not working for tanki, they should not be able to use their authority, just because they can, but i'm sure tanki won't agree, so i suggest this, if your a mod and playing the game, you should have to announce to all players, that you are a mod before you start playing, and if you think someone is out of line, give a warning first, not just ban them without any warning at all, and smile about it like your some god, when your not,, then if the person continues with foul langauge, then issue a ban!  i also have seen mods give extreme bans for something so little, i think tanki should have a guideline of how severe the bans should be, which i believe they do not, they let the mods just choose whatever they feel like giving, which is not right, there should be a fair and just system which tanki doesn't have!

I hope to get some feedback as to what tankers think about this, not just all mods trying to defend themselves, as i know, i am not the only one to have seen these unfair and unjust actions from mods!

Next time, why not take some screenshots instead of words?

Then you'll have some solid evidence.

But nonetheless, the Moderator's job is to make sure nobody violates any rules. The shouldn't abandon those duties just because they're playing the game. If you happened across a crime or emergency, would you not try to help out or do what is right?

And about "what is right." If you insist that a ban is unfair, then I believe you should talk it out with the others. (Yele?)

And again, take a screenshot. Lol.

Dosen't matter if there is mod or not, you shouldn't be bearking the rules. as for announcing there is no need for that too it will seem more like showing off for some players when we do that. we aren't gods nor your parents to tell you what to do, but normal human being can know the difference between right and wrong :), when you registered you agreed not to violate the game rules. the system is built fairly to maintain order. If you think there is moderator abusing his powers "banning unfairly", you can always contact our Chat administrators , @Shar0n.

i know just a little about moderators job ( one of my friend's is a mod ) but as i know they can not ban just in the way they like

first they look in your karma ( karma is your ban history ) and then they decide what to do

its just like banning for flood

first time you flood you get warn , second time at the moment you get 5 minutes ban , after that if you continue you be ban for one hour

thats all

We don't use our authority "just because we can". Moderators don't join games just to ban people, We join them to play just like everyone else. We shouldn't be seen as the police who assert our authority as we don't want that image. We are there to help make the game an enjoyable experience for all. If someone is swearing in the chat then of course we will try and prevent that as children play this game and it's not a nice thing to see in chat when playing a game. I see no need whatsoever for people to swear. The English language and other languages are so diverse and there are many ways of expressing how you feel without having to use profanity.

As JL6H said, People shouldn't feel the need to swear regardless if a moderator is in the game or not. Someone shouldn't influence how you act in a game by just entering. I know many players who are not moderators that support our efforts and appreciate our efforts to make the game a nicer environment for all to enjoy. Just because one person doesn't get offended by swearing doesn't mean everyone else won't

Whether a warning is issued or a ban depends on the context and the severity of the text. We don't just say "hey I don't like this person" he/she deserves a week. It just doesn't work like that. We have rules to follow and procedures to follow in regards how we act and what to do in certain situations. A moderator will only ban if he/she needs to and we prefer communication if at all possible. We don't think we're "god" we are here to benefit the users of the game and not personal gain.

We do have guidelines on how to act and which bans to issue and we cannot and do not choose whatever we feel like giving. This isn't the image we want. We want to help users and when a ban is issued it is never personal or out of spite. There is always a reason behind it and we have strict guidelines to follow. As JL6H previously said if you feel a ban was issued unfairly you can contact the chat administrators and they will investigate further.

I also hope you get feedback from other players, I'm not trying to defend moderators or myself I'm saying it how it is.

Hi.  I know ShadowDemon13 is referring to me. ShadowDemon13 has harassed me several times now in battles anytime I ban someone for breaking tanki's rules.  I remember one night when I was doing some banning in a battle before I went to bed.  I don't remember if I was playing in the battle or if some players told me people were breaking rules in the battle and I went to it in spectator mode.  Either way, if I come across players breaking Tanki's rules it is my obligation as a moderator to ban them according to Tanki's moderator rules.  ShadowDemon13 already knows players can dispute their bans with a chat admin if they feel they were banned incorrectly.

Case closed.

As my mods already explained, we are here to help players and keep game pleasurable for every one of them. Please do not abuse the fact that mods are trying their best to help and to be of service by provoking them and/or insulting while they are trying to play and enjoy themselves - and even then putting their job above everything else.

ShadowDemon, you already discussed your case with admins, and you were explained clearly why you are banned. If you have further complains, please contact us again.
