I have an idea for the name for the shotgun turret. "buckshot" or "spatter" sound good to me.

Can we perhaps test the turret out before giving it a name, or at least see more of it? . . .Or not. . .

But a couple of names I thought of are:

1. The Assailant
2. The Assaulter
3. Blitzkrieg
4. Cruiser
5. Hi.-Burst
6. Nova
7. S.W.A.T.

I highly recommend option one: The Assailant.

It fits it well since the turret is a close-ranged one. An Assailant attacks physically.

 

I recommend The Assaulter, because of the original word "Assault"

 

I chose Blitzkrieg due to the characteristics of the gun, which is fast shots which is presumably meant to finish off opponents fast.

Hence the word Blitzkrieg, which means lightning war. I found this amusing since this turret reminds me of Thunder. It's almost like a brother/sister Turret, just short-ranged. Get it, Thunder and Lightning?

 

I chose the Cruiser when I looked at its physical appearance. It looks very nice, and I can imagine it "cruising" around the battle field. The definition of a cruiser is

a relatively fast warship larger than a destroyer and less heavily armed than a battleship.

 

I chose the name Hi-burst due to the high impact of the shots, along with the burst of pellets. I thought "Hi." looked better than "High." Lol.

I added the period to shorten the word "High," into just "Hi."

 

This is also similar for why I chose Nova. A Nova is

a star which shows a sudden large increase in brightness and then slowly returning to its original state over a few months.

Get it? It can fire three high powered shots in rapid succession, but then it must slowly reload - similar to Railgun.

 

For the final choice, I chose S.W.A.T.

The word "Swat" means to hit or crush (something, especially an insect) with a sharp blow from a flat object.

It is also an acronym for "Special Weapons And Tactics."

 

Again, I highly recommend the first choice: The Assailant.

However, other useful options such as "Scattershot" are also very viable options.

I've seen some other good ones posted around as well.

I think the new turret should be named "Commando" or "Ranger". Also, I think it'd better not have a knock-effect on friendlies; you don't want your shots making all your teammates miss their shots, do you? ;)

My idea for a name would be "Terminator"-because it can easily terminate a tank with its clip or "Messer"-becauseand for the minigun (why not?) "Ripper" or "The Reaper"-those names are self-explanatory.

Fear Machine-'cause this is a new turrent, everybody would fear it. From the video I presume it is very powerful, thus no one will want to be aimed at with it.

i like all of the turrets but the shaft is a sniper and snipers don't give away there position just look at real life the sniper doesn't give his foe a chance to know were he is. these red laser sights ruin the point of using the shaft it ruins the element of stealth :ph34r: and the fun of not knowing when you will be hit. other than that good job and keep updating but don't add laser sights on shafts and also maybe make the shaft more powerful but not overpowered
