without a shadow of a doubt one of my all time favourite songs

you have to understand this band to understand what i'm saying

lead singer ian curtis was a very troubled person with deep mental problems and suffering with epilepsy

this song was written shortly before his tragic death when he commited suicide

if ever a song was a plea for help then this is it

this is far more than music

its a suicide note written in music

r.i.p ian curtis

I was at a rave-ish dance-party kind of event one time in the mid 90's and they played this song over and over...at least twenty times in five or six hours...I grew to like it a lot.  Ya just gotta appreciate the scintillating poetry of the oh so perspicacious lyrics :)

"Mary Moon, Mary Moon, Mary Moon,

Oh she love me so, she hates to be alone;

She don't eat meat but she sure like the bone..."

R.I.P Avicii

Wake me up was one of my favorites

So very sad.  I didn't know he died; and so young only 28...what a waste.

Wake Me Up is a terrific song.

I just finished watching an episode of The Handmaid's Tale (S2E6) an this was the end credits song.  It was an absolutely perfect piece of music for the ending of this particular episode.  Perfect.  I normally am not too keen on Punk, only a few choice tunes float my boat, but this, in conjunction with the film, was truly stellar.
