Abusing and Dis-respectful Players

Hi Guys,

 

I am 30 years old man. I play this game when i have free time because its a good place for me to spend some time here and meet and talk to new people. I already have some very good friends of my age here. But its not fun anymore to talk to people here because most of the KIDS here are not respectful and some Adults act like kids. Me and some of my friends are facing alot of issues related to dis-respectful abusing players and Tanki is failing very badly in this part. I just need to know why those players abuse someone without even knowing them, and if you killed someone 1 or 2 times in the battle they will rush on you with abuses. If we vote against someone no mod comes to handle the situation and Tanki gives us a very good excuse of lack of Mods, why they dont increase their chat mods. I know its not possible to handle each and every complaint, but something need to be done to make a good environment in this game or some of us have decided to leave this game. So you can consider this message from alot of players through me. Please let me know if there is an easy solution related to this issue. Thanks.

i love your post very much because its even speaking about my issue !

 

sometime ago i had a lag and my tank did not shoot any player, also no player can shoot me,, i even could not take the enemy flag,, so players started abusing me and say bad things about my mother ! because they thought that Iam a professional hacker because of the worst lag i ever had !

 

i voted them,, nothing happened,, i captured a screen shots,, the moderator told me that the resolution is low and he cant take action against those players !!!

 

so what do you think i should do ? should i leave tanki ? or should the moderators be judged and replaced with new professional moderators ?

Trust me, actions are taken. When you report a post made by a moderator the report is handled by Yele and if the mod is wrong the topic is re-opened and the mod gets less amount of crystals as a pay because of his mistake. You reported my post and Yele saw it, my post was correct actually, that is the reason it wasn't re-opened. If wish to complain about a forum mod's actions, please PM @Yele :)

- As you noticed, EN community is getting bigger and bigger, and it's hard to deal with 20k-100k players 24/7. Not even 150 moderators would be able to be everywhere. For now, we're accepting new candidates every month, and are progressing with educating new players on how to behave on the chat, by talking with them for hours every day. Plus we have a number of players who are helping us with our task, taking their free time to chat with low ranked players themselves, and teaching them about the game. For that, they have a HUGE gratitude from us! 

 

- Not one player was ever rejected because of their nationality. It's true that we are sometimes looking for applicants from a specific time zone or from specific nation, and it's because we have to cover servers which hosts players from one country, which do not speak English at all, so other mods cannot help them. Requirements for being accepted as a staff member are numerous, and not all of the applicants are able to fulfil them... Again, nothing to do with the nation, religion or the race. It's more to do with the personality, age, maturity, activity, the number of languages known etc.

 

- I understand that older players are seeing changes that they might not like, but it's normal for a huge game like this to evolve, and to get new players every day. We were new players once upon a time ourselves, and other players helped us to fit in. So instead of moaning for not being accepted as a moderators, help those players yourselves, and show them how enjoyable this game can be for all of us.

Some of us are doing our part very well which is out of your knowledge. I play this game daily and meet alot of new people and if they need some help from me, i do that for them. Just to let you know i fulfill all your requirements and for the language part, i was never never asked about how many languages i speak. And nobody is moaning here, we are having a discussion about rights and wrongs which we face daily in this game now.

Well, I understood from vlog 26 that people would be accepted despite their karma if they had a desire to help.  I have that desire yet no one will give me a chance due to karma.  I'm trustworthy and only want to help, as a consultant.

 

Why am I not being let in.  I've already PM'ed FBI and his answers are not good enough.

 

I've worked on the wiki with semyon, ask him if you want to know whether I'm trustworthy.  I want to know why I haven't been given a chance or was vlog 26 a big lie?

Vblog 26 was misunderstood. No one said that karma will be completely disregarded, just that other traits and requirements will be taken into account more - and the applicant's will to help the community. Those who are interested in becoming staff members for their personal gain will be rejected.

I have been helped so many times by Moderators I have lost count, in battle and in both chat and on the forum, sure there is not always a speedy response, but you have to remember moderators are players like you and me who volunteer their time to help out here

1) Kids and adults that act like kids are not the only reason why there is disrespect. Disrespect comes from various reasons and even from people who are like you, me or like any other person really. Sometimes there's a reason for it.

2) I agree that kids make a lot of stupid stuff here and there. I used to be like this myself until like a year ago. Having an age limit to this game would be better, I guess.

Not really sure that it is fair to hitch the kind of behaviour described to the Tanki Game, and/or the performance of Tanki moderators.

 

This kind of behaviour is endemic to any and every Internet-based game, as far as I can tell. If the Tanki Devs and Mods came up with some kind of Magic Bullet for dealing with it, they'd soon stop developing the Game and start selling that "Magic Bullet" to every other Multiplayer Game Developer.

 

The immature, antagonistic and offensive behaviour from certain players does sometimes spoil enjoyment of the game, which is a real shame, but it is possible to filter it out, either technically or mentally.

 

I always take the view that whilst someone being rude, abusive and obnoxious to people they don't know is a crime; it is also its own punishment.

 

The only emotion I ever (and only occasionally) feel for these people, is pity.

there are so many good people i know which should be a Mod, but you guys refuse their application for no reason. Infact i applied for chat mod too, but i was refused because of my nationality, what you have to say on this with due respect and just to let you know my ban history is clean.

Moderators shouldn't be rejected because of nationality, we all speak different languages, Chat moderators that speak other languages are a huge bonus to the staff because, you can speak that language that some other players can as well. The players who want to be moderators are good, but sometimes doesn't meet the requirements, but, players that don't want to be moderators could make excellent moderators. No one should be rejected because of nationality, NO ONE! This should be dealt with when it happened.
