a new lag hack is being used to stop you getting golds

not once but 3 times today just as gold alert goes off everyone lagged same player got gold twice in one battle,

i actually lagg 30 seconds b4 gold and when i refresh , it takes forever to load ( not my internet problem , its actually pretty fast..) then when i log back in i find that RandomTankiPlayer123 has taken the gold box

He was lucky, and got the gold boxes, there's no cheat here. A player's performance can't affect other players, so such "cheat" doesn't exist.

i expect due to high volume of players it might be time to open up some of the servers for the winter holidays to ease some load on the other servers

A new lag hack? Sounds something along the lines of a DoS or a DDoS attack but i'm not exactly an expert on it. The results seem similar to what the situation is though.

Lags are caused due to two reasons: the player's connection problems and server's problems. So if a player's computer lags or uses a software that causes lag, it only affects him, it doesn't jump to others. Basically, no software can make other players lag.

But, if a high pinger was shooting at you, and you ran behind cover only to die -- it only means that you would have died even sooner, while you were still standing out in the open, if your attacker had a lower ping. That probably made you think he made you lag.
