Never take part in stupid contests

Speaking as both contest winner (2 times) and loser (countless).

Guys, everyone can come up with something for a contest and think it's a good entry, and I know it's not nice to put efforts in your work for various hours or days and then not even get mentioned, but developers know what they are looking for, and it's not easy to amaze them. I advise you don't give up after one single lost contest, you should wait behind the corner for a contest involving something you are really good at, and then make your best out of it. If you keep entering all contests with average entries, which may even be cool ideas, but are not original or are poorly presented all you will get is frustration.

Another thing I'd like to provide...

We were collecting decorations for Christmas tree last year. We all got some extra crystals because of that. There's no such fun this year.

I didn't even try to participate in "postcard contest" as I'm too lazy for that. Perhaps I'm not even talented for that.

 

Please, don't even mention THE GAME as it really sucks. Like 10 smart tankers enter the contest and they're somehow successful. After their success, they post their solutions and rest of the million tankers enter the contest thankful these 10 tankers.

You are right , if all this was going to happen ... the contest might not have been organised during christmas...

Expecting something , and getting something different....

and i have seen my friends entries , their entries were not poorly presented..

They made such postcards , that after seeing them you would not even seem to give them consolation prizes ... you would directly select them for giving 50 k ....

And even if they did not make it very very creative ,  tanki online must have given them something really worth expectations..

even in consolations , they must have given each tanker , who made even a bad postcard ,, 5000 crystals to each...

And 10 k to those who are much better...

But tanki online is not what it was in the new year of 2014..

Everywhere happiness in the new year of 2014..

But this new year time is much bad than that..  :(  :(

You spent hours on your entry? I spent days on it! And yet I got 5000 crystals. Do I complain? No. Do I say that my entry deserved to win? No!

And anyway, there were almost 15000 postcards and developers carefully checked all of them in just two days. Do you understand how hard it was for them? You know what? You're just sitting there in front of your screen and complaining. Come here and complain when you finally understand how hard it was to judge 15000 entries and pick the best ones.

5000 postcards were sent by EN community players, right?

11000 were sent by RU community players. Those two alone are more than 15000.

stop commenting on here. because you are not using your brain. i dont care if my postcard is good or not. all i know is that i have put time and effort in it. so i want something in return if not crystals atleast my name on that list. but stupid people like you wont understand. and if jury finds it hard to judge 15k postcards then it would be better to not organize any contest from next time. because what if everyone participated in this noob contest. Millions of postcards would have been there. then what excuse would you have given at that time? huh?

Firstly, I didn't say the jury had a hard time judging the entries.

And saying "I don't care how good my entry was, I want to at least get something!" does not make ANY sense.

Just work harder next time. The list of winners is already posted. It will not be changed because of some people who do not want to accept that their entry was not good. I'm sure the jury has seen your entry too.

Probably encouraged by the system which seeks to gratify all their ridiculous demands just so that they can keep their whining mouths shut.

I see you put in your "time and effort" into building crap, well I put my time and effort into a lot of things but I don't rush off to the respective authorities to put me on a pedestal because of that. You weren't exactly discovering a cure for ebola or building homes for the homeless before that, were you? That this contest distracted you away from your noble duties.
