Viking VS Dictator. Which is better? Why do players use Viking more?

When comparing these two Hulls, do not look at PRICE, LOOKS, or RANK OF MODIFICATION. 

 

Just look at their STATS of the M3 and M4 (fully Mico-Upgraded M3). 

I don't understand why, most people use Viking, i think the Dictator is a whole lot better. It has more health (a lot more at M3, but the gap lessens at M4). Its Heavier. And although the stats on the garage says Viking has more acceleration, in the game Dictator can push Viking (I think). It is also able to turn around a lot faster. The only disadvantage is speed, but for defenders that's really not a problem. 

 

The thing is that the Dictator is UGLY looking. 

 

So why is there a lot more Vikings than Dictator?

Anyways, the shape of Dictator limits its ability to use every gun effectively to the extent with Viking. On that note, Dictator can also compliment turrets much better than Viking.

Firstly, Dictator M2 is unlocked too early and Dictator M3 is unlocked too late. So Dictator M2 is weak for its mission. No one wants to accept this easily.

 

Secondly, Dictator's architectural shape. Easier hitted and unstabler than viking.

Before re-balance (Maybe 5 months ago) dictator was nearly unstabler than hornet! Now more stable, but still this is problem for long range guns.

High height is problem for some players. They need to hide, but it is not so possible with dictator.

 

 

Thirdly, more expensive than viking. İt is about ranks.

 

Price, Looks and Rank of Modification are already problem  B)

 

Looks contain architecture because unstabler. Probably you haven't though that.

M2 Viking destroyes M2 Dictator in every stat, so that's why you see a lot of Vikings at your rank. M2 Viking is also pretty cheap for it's effectiveness.

No, because eventually, the Dictator will catch up and be better. Not only that M3 Dictator has 300 HP, so even if you're FINISHED Miro-upgrading it's still not going to be good as M3 Dictator. M3 Dictator HP is 297, while M3 full micro upgraded Viking is 300. Barley any diffrence.

Dictator Is A Good Hull For Deathmatches And Long Or Mid Ranged Guns. It Dosent Suits CTF Because Of The Slow Speed Its Tall Hieght And Shape Gives A Lot Of Advantage For Catching Goldboxes And Also Has Better Armour Than Viking. Viking Is A All Rounder Hull With Capability To Defend To Attack Anytime, Anywhere But Its Not So Effective For Catching Goldies as Dictator Does.It Also Has A Lot More Speed Than Dicktator But Still, In My Thoughts, Viking Is A Better Hull.

M1 Viking cheaper, unlocks earlier. People buys it, and forgets Dictator. Dictator is SO underrated, a few MUs on Dictator M2 can beat Vikings M3 HP. And a fully MUed Dictator M2, competes against Vikings M4.

At M2: There are a lot of people who have bought the Hull Kit or M2 Medium Kit in the past, so there's a lot of M2 Vikings. In addition, without micro-upgrades, M2 Viking is generally considered better than M2 Dictator (although a fully MUed M2 Dictator is more than a match for a M2 or M3 Viking).

 

At M3: Viking unlocks a lot earlier than Dictator does (Lieutenant General instead of Generalissimo) and it's cheaper. A lot of people don't want to wait until Gismo to get Dictator, so they go with Viking instead.

Viking is a very versatile hull, with it's speed and health. Dictator they say is "ugly"(I frankly don't see it that way), but if it was a popular/decent hull, it wouldn't matter. Apparently, it does, but one of the biggest disadvantages of Dictator is it's height; it is the tallest tank on the battlefield. Due to height, Dictator is far more targeted than Viking, in fact, most-likely all hulls. Now that the gold box's drop location is revealed after the alarm, there are far more people hunting for gold, and probably realize that Dictator's height is a very big advantage when gold is falling. Dictator also is known for glitching on top of tanks for gold boxes, due to it's structure. So, Dictator was almost never used, back then, unless you were a gold hunter. Now that everyone knows the gold box location, the number of Dictator's have increased by far. Of course, Viking M3, is unlocked at a lower rank, but Dictator M2 is fine for plenty of tankers.

I agree with your M-list, this is pretty much how it works for most Tankers.

 

For me the shape of the Dictator has always been the reason why I didn 't choose it.

Not the looks, but the implementations.

 

The tall shape has its advantages though:

When shooting you can also shoot over your teammates, and the vertical range has recently been improved

by the auto-aim update. (which impact 's force is too high, but that is another topic)

 

The Dictator definitely has good armour, but at M2 you have to micro-upgrade the HP, something

which isn 't needed with the Viking M2. But a HP micro-upgraded Dictator has an impressive armour.

Also in weight it 's the clear winner, which also brings some battle-advantages.

Finally there 's not much discussion about what 's the best Goldbox catcher and 1000 crystals at once is a big thing.

 

What I don 't like about the Dictators shape is the obvious increased target possibilities the enemy has.

Quite a bit of that impressive armour gets lost by simply getting hitted more with the Dictator.

It 's also long and wide (also checkable with TankViewer) which makes it harder to manoeuvre in tight places,

I played both hulls and the Viking is really much easier to handle there.

 

At M3 the Dictator unlocks really late and it settles when micro-upgraded with a        Speed of 8 and an HP of 330

At M3 the Viking unlocks early (as second hull after the Hornet) and MU 'd is has a   Speed of 9 and an HP of 300

 

So in the end it 's ofcourse a matter of personal preferences.

 

For myself the choice will be, because of IMO the better shape (which makes the +30 HP count a lot less) in combination

with the factual earlier M3 unlock and in the end +1 higher speed (a big deal IMO): Viking M3.

I still see Vikings everywhere, and I play with Generalissimos who have access to Dictator M3.

His 'facts' aren't incorrect - they're more an individual perception of things, as is your own perception; not right, but not wrong.
