Take away predictable gold box.

Recommended Posts

The update is fair for everyone. Whilst heavy tanks find it hard to find the spot, it is easier for them to take it if they're close. Light tanks find it easier to find the spot, but harder to catch the gold. As a light tank, you could always jump onto the opposition...

Ehm, I actually support the idea of predictable drop spots. That idea was kind of absurd to me when it came out, and I still believe they did it to eliminate the "1, 2, and 3" method. But to see it for the Gold Box too further pushes my idea on it. It's a thoughtless idea. It was better when the drop zone for the Gold Box stayed Random and people had to search for it.

Well, you have to search for the marked spot for the Gold Box.

That's probably why M3 Dictator unlocks at the last rank, its such a good Gold hunting tank. Its also the most OP hull in the game. :D

Light hulls:
+ Able to drive around the whole map, therefore more likely to catch the gold box.

   - Due to small weight and low health unlikely to catch the gold box.

Heavy hulls:
   - Due to low speed can cover only a part of the map and are unlikely to find the drop location.

+ If they find and occupy the location, they are likely to catch the gold box due to high health and mass

As you can see, with the current system the chances of catching the gold box are balanced between the different hulls (on medium-large maps). I would even say that light hulls have a better chance as they can jump/climb on top of heavies and get the gold. Even if the balance isn't perfect now, it was a lot worse for the light hulls before.

thats the problem though. what about small maps.

@gamercool_turbo:

"i still have to deal with m2s all the time"

At your rank, the only M2's you should be familiar with are Freeze M2 and Isida M2 in terms of turrets.

Railgun M2 unlocks 2 ranks away from yours, so that's the max you should be seeing.

In terms of hulls, it consists of NO M2 hulls at all. That's right. At your rank, there are absolutely NO M2 Hulls unlocked yet.

However, M2 Hornet does unlock at the very next rank. Only M2 Hornet. So the rest should be M1's or M0's.

If you're seeing M2's all the time, then consider playing with your own rank.

If you're having trouble playing with them, and making a big impact, then you might be also dragging down your team as well. And if you're really, really struggling, then sorry, but you're no more effective than a Mult if you keep getting 1-shotted. A Dictator M2 unlocks two ranks away.

Maybe that's why you keep complaining how M1 Hammer, etc. etc. needs to be buffed. Obviously an M1 grade item won't be working well on something like an M2 Dictator. Especially with MU's considering M1 Hammer isn't an old weapon.

"as long as you give me a refund on hammer"

I have played on my Hammer before, and I've got to say the range isn't bad at all. And the shot dispersion is still quite good. It's not wide to the point where you can't aim with it.  Not to mention I have also seen others play with Hammer. In bigger maps, a Hornet, Wasp, or even a Viking/Hunter may do fine.

"yes but in small maps you dont really need to and dictator rules "

"not in smal maps"

What you seem to be asking for is a "perfect" hull. Well sorry, but there's this thing called balance. Obviously something will have weaknesses, and purposes. It may excel in one area, but must sacrifice other elements.

In small maps, heavier hulls like Mammoth, Titan, and Dictator may rule, but in larger maps it is quite the opposite where Hornet, Wasps, Vikings, and Hunters also come into play. In smaller maps, you could move around less, and thus get shot at more, and get pushed around more.

Now, given that, do you think something such as a light tank (e.g Wasp, Hornet) is fit for pushing other tanks, or taking hits?

Do you think these tanks are meant for putting their weight down on the ground to avoid being pushed over? Oh wait, WHAT WEIGHT?

Exactly. Obviously we have other hulls meant for this purpose.

Such as Mammoth, Dictator, and Titan, which are meant to take hits, and stay placed on the ground.

I could go on explaining more, but I think you get the point.

thats the problem though i cant play with people my level cause i can nevrr ever find a proper match. when i said give me a refund on hammer it was a joke lol. i was just responding to mafiozas sarcastic reply of take away all small maps. next since dictator us way to fast for such health it needs to be reduced.

Have you tried the new feature where you press the "play" button on the main page and it sends you to the server with the most battles for your rank?

That does not do any magic. I do it, but usually I have to go back to EN1 or RU1/2/3 or whatever. The busier the server, the more likely you can find a good battle.

To the original thread starter, I simply say, if you find a hull or a gun that is OP, use it instead of complaining about it. If you think it is the wrong choice for you, then let the people who use it live with their decisions and live with yours.
