This means that we have to say our nickname at the beginnig of the video ? Something like... "Hello tankers, I am NOT-Insane..." 

And why should this help you to identify the actual commentator... couldn't you simply look at the nickname at the top of the post ?

What took the mods so long to recruit commentators ? I mean seriously for two freaking seasons we had to watch the SL matches with gibberish commentary of Russians :@. At least its finally here. Hope this works out well. Good luck to all those whom are applying !

It's to prevent stealing work from others, for instance I could download and re upload to my channel one of the pre-existing entries without an intro and post it, my nickname would be on the post and the video on my channel.  Though the judges could remember seeing the video earlier and disqualify me.

ok since i already someone who actaully recorder 11 minutes i am just going to shwo you how to download the video

1. Go to the youtube video's actauly page which is here :

2. Next copy the Video url in the adress bar...

3. Go to http://www.clipconverter.cc/

4. Paste the link and click contuine

 

 

 

5. You will than have another part of the screen pop up as shown in the spoiler below..click continue

 

 

6. Click continue but make sure the box in the spoiler below is not checked off..

 

 

click save and now you just wait for the download to finish.. you will get an mp4 file which can than be converted into wmv through movie maker or another program

Nick, when we commentate can we imagine we are commentating the date the battle was played so we can add info about the battles the day before or do we have to commentate as of today?

you can do either.  All that matters is how you convey it and the rest of the commentating

 

The ending is a little abrupt, are we allowed to add the "poster" for that battle and wrap up our commentary there?

(That is if we can find it) or would the contest pic be ok.

I'm not taking part of this contest, but good luck.

So far my favorite is Joboom's entry.

I try to listen to these entries two times.

 

First, I listen to it while watching the battle.

The second time, I listen to it while on another tab/website. Or I guess you can do both in intervals so you don't have to watch it two times.

 

Can the speaker describe to me what is happening accurately, or do I have to do all of the searching myself?

 

Joboom's voice is clear, and contains accurate details about the battle IMO, such as power-ups, time, combinations, events, and his own inductive reasoning in which he compares it to what actually happens, such as his prediction of whether a team will play defensively or not, and analyzes the overall situation.
