Maps, and turret usage are the two things you need to consider before buying/upgrading a hull.

As all hulls have different pros and cons.

When in doubt, hornet and Viking are the most versatile hulls.

Hornet: not enough weight for Twins and not enough HP to anti Thunder-Hugger

 

Viking: not fast enough for firebird in large maps, not really that great of a weight for Twins (or its shape imo)

 

If anything, Hunter is the most versatile hull in the game, with m 3.75 reaching 10 speed, 270 hp, and 3k weight.

Hornet; Drifting may look cool, but it's definitely a downside when you're chasing an enemy that's trying to hide after walls or obstacles.

Exactly. Then maybe wasp but not enough protection unless you add double armour
